DO NOT MISS! Seeing the whales up close was incredible. We saw bubble net feeding - spectacular. Combined with time at Mendenhall Glacier, this had double bang for the buck.

If coming in on a cruise, be sure to check which pier the ship is docking at. We docked much further from where I thought we would, and because we were traveling with someone with somewhat limited mobility, walking to meet the tour as planned was out of the question. The difference in timing almost made us miss the tour, and we had to hire an Uber to get us to the dock because there was no way we'd be able to get to the original meeting location in time. That said, the staff from Dolphin Jet Boat Tours was as accommodating as much as possible without interrupting the other passengers' plans and helped me figure out timing to get to the dock before they had to leave. It was a tight time frame, but we made it! The tour itself was fun. We're from California and have had a chance to see lots of humpbacks, but we've never seen bubble-net feeding which is amazing to see. We also saw a breach and unexpectedly got a chance to see a small pod of orcas including younger one. Nelly, our guide, gave good info, and it was fun to see how excited our captain was to show us all the things we saw. All in all, a fun few hours on the water. The jet boats they use are comfortable and fast, and I was later told, help keep the marine life safer since they don't have propellers. Sadly, the Mendenhall Glacier has receded quite a bit since I last saw it in the 00's, but it's still worth a visit especially if you're never seen it.

The boat was comfortable, with nice, front and back observation decks. The whale watching could not have been better!!! Multiple feedings and breaches of the surface. Definitely recommend!! The captain was also very respectful of the laws of Alaska, and giving the whales their proper distance to not endanger the whales or us on the boat.

Naturalist was very informative and friendly. Saw many whales and had a fun time on the boat. The hike to Nugget Falls is wonderful, The waterfall is spectacular! A great day and great tour !

Fabulous staff and amazing experience. The whales were amazing, staff knowledgeable, and it was a once in a lifetime experience.

We had a wonderful whale watching excursion, our guide gave us such great information on the whales. We had numerous whales really close come up. Got some fantastic photos and videos. We also went on the glacier and the waterfall excursion, absolutely beautiful. We were able to get some wonderful photos. Beautiful weather the day we went. Great memories made.

Capt Austin and naturalist Kayleigh were excellent!! Great whale watch, got to see the Humpbacks bubble net feed!! The tour was well worth it!

My rating is at no fault of the boat’s because we did see orcas, humpbacks and sea lions! The humpbacks were just SO far away. We saw the same wildlife, right from the cruise ship & closer so I’m just not sure it is worth the time. It’s worth the money! This excursion allows time for both whales & walking to Nugget Falls at Mendenhall Glacier. The walk is lovely. Be sure to go in the gift shop to see the views from there. The bus driver was top notch,

JJ and Lilly on The Dolphin made the excursion so wonderful and memorable. The last excursion was in 2001 with my father before he passed we went on a excursion like this but I dont recall it being so thrilling as this one. We were so excited we had chose this excursion. Absolutely amazing! We went in early August and saw tons of whales. Even saw them bubble netting several times! And a full 2 hrs at Mendenhall Glacier! Plenty of time to walk to nugget falls and explore the visitor center. It was exactly what we wanted, they were super punctual and even locally owned and operated. Would absolutely recommend!
