Tom was a fun and informative guide! After the tour he gave us recommendations that were helpful for the rest of our stay. We are so glad we did this tour

More a food tour than fish market toyr
It is more a food tour than a fish market tour given the fish market is no longer there as a large commercial operation. Unlike some other options, food is not included but given it was an early morning we actually preferred this option as did not feel obligated to eat food like octopus for breakfast. Our guide was excellent and gave us some great insights to local life and took us to some important temples and shrines in the area. If you’re expecting to see fish markets in operation you will be disappointed.

Get Food, Great Experience!
I enjoyed our visit to Tsukiji Market. Our guide Dorien was very informative. I enjoyed learning about the history of the area. The sushi was fabulous! So good we went back for more.

Fish Market with Tom
This was a great little tour of the “tourist fish market” and Tom was an awesome guide. Tokyo was in the middle of a typhoon and we still went ahead with the tour as planned. Tom altered the tour a little bit based on how much it was raining. He took us into a Buddhist temple and explained how to pray and what the difference is between Shinto and Buddhism are in Japan. It was very interesting and a lovely extra! It makes so much more sense going to the temples now. The seafood at the fish market was delicious and Tom was very helpful and helping us navigate our way around the fish market. For the cost, I would highly recommend this tour.

Loved this introduction to Tokyo food.
We enjoyed this tour so much and love that the guide customized it to two additional requests we had. Small group of only 8 participants and 6 were our group so it was almost a private tour. Communication before the tour was perfect and the guide even provided recommendations for after the tour so we could get the most out of Tokyo food scene. Thank you!!
