What a great experience! A lesson in history and humanity. The ticket includes a free audio tour which was wonderful.

Very unique and interesting museum. With an audio guide, you can go at your own pace. Lots of narrow stairs. We spent about an hour in the museum.

Who would have thought it, a complete church with organ, pulpit, altar and pews in someone's attic. Built during the religious persecutions hundreds of years ago when catholic churches were not to be used, some people built a church in their attic, and this is the only surviving one. Well worth a visit, this ingenuity will amaze you.

OUTSTANDING-Very well organize!!!! Lockers to save your items, the WHOLE Museum was CLEAN!!!! Able to scan each area to listen the history and it was not overwhelming.

This was a completely unexpected highlight of our visit to Amsterdam. I highly recommend taking a couple of hours to see it and learn the fascinating history of this unique space. It was so interesting and fascinating to see everything so well preserved. It is definitely worth a visit.

This Museum does an excellent job of portraying the interior of a canal house, a “hidden church“ that was popular for Catholics during the time of the Protestant reformation, and the issues of capitalism and religion that were ongoing throughout history of the Dutch people. Easy to walk in and get tickets. There are some narrow stairs, but nothing unusual for Amsterdam. The audio guide works very well.

Interesting and special tour with enthusiastic staff. Beautiful to walk around in a house with still authentic furnishings. Especially that this is still in top condition. Recommendation!

My sister-in-law told me about this place and recommended I see it. Otherwise, I would never have known about it. At one time, Protestants were the major religion in the Netherlands and while other religions were allowed, they could not have visible places of worship. So they gathered in homes. This place is where the Catholics put a church at the top of a private home. The church is beautiful and much larger than you would expect. I don't want to spoil the whole thing as it was a beautiful discovery to go there. I just recommend that you go and see it for yourself. It's worth it!

Interesting the history of the place. It is not a church properly hidden. Catholics could profess their faith, but they could not do so in public places. It is interesting to see the interiors of Dutch houses from past centuries.
