We had such an incredible evening learning to cook with Rekha and Rishi! We made a variety of dishes, such as pakora, lassi, gobhi and butter paneer masala. Our hosts were so kind, welcoming and informative; they were excellent teachers. Everything we cooked together was absolutely delicious, and we can’t wait to try to cook them at home! This activity is an absolute must for an authentic experience in Jodhpur.
We had such a great evening! Rishi and Rekha welcomed us like family and Rekha started explaining what ingredients and spices she uses. Her lesson went far beyond a cookery session as she knows so much about the properties and benefits of each ingredient and even provided alternatives for people with food intolerances or spice limitations. Rekha speaks such good English that it was easy to follow as she explains each step clearly and made it seem much easier than we imagined. Most importantly, Rekha's kitchen is scrupulously clean and she maintains this hygiene throughout the session. We cooked a first set of 4 starters, then ate them on the family terrace. Next we prepared the 4 main courses plus outstanding chapati which was such fun! Rehka is a great teacher, explaining all her techniques. She's welcoming, witty and warm, while Rishie was so jolly and also arranged transport for us. Most importantly this small group experience is so much better than being with 10-20 others. Our excellent, memorable evening gave us more than just cookery, as the moment we stepped in we were welcomed as part of an Indian family. We highly recommend it to anyone wanting an insight into Indian life.
An incredible experience. Rekha is a brilliant teacher. We had a fun and informative introduction to Indian cooking. We felt privileged to have been a part of Rekha and Risha's home for the evening. The food that we all helped to prepare was absolutely amazing.
Must do local food experience in Jodhpur! This is an absolutely fantastic activity. Amazing food, where you learn the recipes and help out with the cooking at a local house with an excellent, friendly and funny chef. I couldn’t recommend this more.
I had the absolute pleasure of joining the Incredible Krishna Cooking class in Jodhpur, hosted by the wonderful duo, Rishi and Rekha. As a solo traveler, I immediately felt welcomed into their home. Even though our group had a mix of a couple and a small group of four others, it felt personal and engaging. Rekha’s cooking instructions were clear, fun, and interactive, and the food we prepared was absolutely delicious! I felt like I truly learned something new about Indian vegetarian dishes. They took care of transportation, which made it easy and safe, and I’m already excited for the cookbook they’ll be releasing. This is a must-do in Jodhpur, highly recommendable!
Fantastic and warmly hosted cooking class. Rishi and Rekha have effervescent personalities and Rekha is a very technically impressive cook and instructor. We learned helpful Indian cooking principles, as well as the recipes. Her English very good so we could ask lots of questions to learn more. Kitchen is very clean and the class was run very smoothly with the help of their assistant Poonam. We would come again in a heartbeat. Best, Hattie and Giles
It was a privilege to be welcomed into Rekha and Rishi’s home and kitchen. Rekha is incredibly welcoming, knowledgeable and funny. The nine dishes we helped cook with clear guidance and patience were delicious - and to eat on the rooftop of their home amid the sunset and flying kites made a memory we will never forget. A footnote - as someone with a severe nut allergy but also a passion for Indian food, travelling and eating in India is something I need to take care with. Rekha was aware of my allergy and had separated all ingredients and oils from any nut-related products in advance and checked this through with me before we started. It was very thoughtful and a measure of how much care and attention Rekha puts into this cooking experience that I cannot recommend highly enough. BTW Rishi is also a great tuk-tuk guide and their daughter Nandini is a phenomenal yoga instructor.
Rishi and Rekha were just the perfect hosts. Rishi greeted us and introduced us to Rekha his wife, who was a joy to be with. She welcomed us in to her home and told us her home was our home. Rekha began by showing us her tin of spices carefully pointing out which spice was which and their particular uses. It wasn’t long before we were busy participating in the cooking, whisking up batter and preparing our first course. Rekha had a fantastic sense of humour and clearly loved what she was doing, her enthusiasm was infectious. We sat down and ate one course whilst she busily prepared the ingredients for the curries we were about to make, one being typical for her region and one being more of a restaurant type of curry, a couple of side dishes plus roti. We were fascinated by the way she roasted her aubergine (see photos). We had a super evening of culinary delights and learnt a fair bit about Rekha and her journey to where she is now. The evening cost 2500 rupees each. We would throughly recommend you trying Incredible Krishna Cooking.

Rekha has a big knowledge and gave us a good insight in real local Cousine. beside this she is a nice and interesting lady!
