半日のガイド付きアクティビティは、ホテルで始まり、終わります。朝食後、午前 10 時に出発し、ザンジバル北部に向かい、冒険、スリル、興奮の 1 日を過ごします。バニラ、カルダモン、ナツメグなど、さまざまなスパイスを栽培地で見ることができます。また、伝統的なザンジバル料理の作り方を学ぶ料理教室にも参加できます。これには、ココナッツミルクでローストした白米、ピラフ (スパイス入りライス)、ローストしたプランテンなどを作ることが含まれます。食べ物を楽しんだり、食べたり、食べ物の試食をしたりできます。その後、ホテルまでお送りします。

The cooking class portion of the spice farm tour was a truly unique and authentic experience, but not for the faint of heart! From sitting on the floor of the “kitchen”, which is essentially a dirt floor , cinder block room without running water or electricity, to cutting up vegetables used in the multi-course meal, to watching “Mama” prepare the meal and waiting for the meal to cook over 3 portable charcoal braziers, we all felt transported in time. But the food was delicious and despite all of our Western food safety concerns, none of us had any issues. If you are adventurous this cooking experience is for you! For the not so food adventurous the spice farm tour was excellent on its own.

The cooking class was super great and the food tasted wonderful. Maria, the cook is a totally warm and personable woman and a wonderful cook. You could help a lot and the tour guide Dida explained everything great. She also speaks super German. The cooking class is highly recommended.
