Fantastic Thai Cooking Experience!** Today we did a Thai cooking class with Kata Thai Cooking Class by Sally, run by Jimmy and his wife Sally, and we absolutely loved it! Jimmy picked us up directly from our hotel and, to our delight, there was only one other couple doing the class with us, which made the whole experience feel much more personal. Our first stop was the local market, where Jimmy showed us the different ingredients and explained where everything comes from. We didn’t need to buy anything as he already had all the ingredients waiting for us back at the kitchen. When we arrived, we washed our hands and got straight into preparing everything for our four dishes Tom Yum soup, Panang curry, Pad Thai and mango sticky rice. Another big plus was that the cooking area was fully air-conditioned, which made cooking in the Phuket heat so much more comfortable! Jimmy was really flexible with the flavours too. Whether you like your food spicy or mild, you make it exactly how you want it. His hilarious explanations while showing us how to prepare everything made the class so much fun. We then cooked each dish individually, with Sally working away in the background making sure everything ran smoothly. Afterwards, we all sat down together to enjoy what we'd made and could even taste each other's dishes if we wanted to. The whole experience was 2,300 baht each (around A$98), which we thought was great value considering it included the market visit, all ingredients, four dishes, the cooking class and hotel pick-up and drop-off. We could also pay Jimmy directly by either cash or card, which made it really easy. Jimmy is funny, informative, patient and really helpful. This was something I was really looking forward to doing while in Phuket and he definitely didn't disappoint. I’d highly recommend this experience it was just as informative as it was fun. Lovely experience with Jim and Sally. Very friendly and knowledgeable. The food we cooked was lovely and Jim was very flexible to what we wished to cook. Transport from hotel provided. All round easy and enjoyable activity. Thank you :)

Jim was an amazing tour guide, communication top notch, picking us up and dropping us off with care and in a timely fashion. The fresh food markets tour was insightful the whole group learning so much every step of the way. We then got to the cooking and it was a laugh! Tasty food we all enjoyed helping to make and eat together. Thank you for the amazing service Jim and your lovely assistant, would highly recommend to all, a necessary cooking class for all Thai food enthusiasts!

This was a 5/5 experience. Jim was amazing. He is extremely knowledgeable about all the ingredients and was an excellent teacher. We made 4 authentic Thai dishes with traditional ingredients. Jim is very down to earth, friendly and very entertaining. He made sure all participants (even the children) had a memorable experience. Will do it again!

My husband and I signed up for this course and we were not disappointed. Jim clearly explained all the ingredients for four delicious dishes. He also showed us how to prepare and cook them. (SCOOOP😂) Not only that, he taught us the difference between the Thai products and those we’d find in the states. All in all it was a fun, educational, tasty afternoon that I highly recommend.
