Aphrodite was the best guide, we had so much fun. So knowledgeable and passionate about LA and the area we toured. All of the food we tried was authentic, diverse and delicious. We all had an incredible time. Would recommend this for anyone who loves to eat and is willing to try new foods.

Food tour in Silverlake
My husband and I had a great experience on the Silverlake neighborhood food tour with Niel and Romaine. It turned out to be a private tour which was great. We learned a great deal about the city’s history, particularly the silent movie era. The food stops were all excellent and diverse. Highly recommend.

Nice tour of local places
This was a really nice tour of local places. We'd never find any of these places on our own. Our guide, Aphrodite, was excellent. We could have skipped Erewhon. All together a really enjoyable event.

This experience was...
This experience was thoughtful, well organized, and genuinely enriching. The guide was knowledgeable, culturally aware, and created a comfortable atmosphere from start to finish. I appreciated how intentional everything felt, from the pacing to the explanations. It didn’t feel rushed or transactional. It felt personal, respectful, and educational. I walked away feeling more connected to the place and the experience itself, which is exactly what I look for when traveling.

Try another company
I've been on many food walking tours and this one was a great disappointment. First, Naill, our guide did the best he could. It wasn't his usual tour and he did give us a brief history of the Silverlake area. However, the Delicious tour company didn't bother to check if the usual stops were open - 1/2 weren't and Naill had to come up with alternatives the last minute. Not great organization. Also, I expect some background on the specific restaurants. The only one with any mention was Mashti Malone. There are other food tour companies in the area that are MUCH better. This one is not worth it.

Thank you for your feedback. We’re very sorry this tour didn’t meet your expectations.
While we did confirm restaurant hours in advance, the tour took place during a holiday week and a couple of our small, independently run partners were unexpectedly closed at the last minute. One was a food truck without a phone number or online system, which made real-time confirmation difficult. We understand how disruptive this felt and agree that guests shouldn’t experience those challenges.
We appreciate you acknowledging that your guide did his best under the circumstances. That said, your comment about limited restaurant-specific background is important to us. Sharing the cultural and culinary stories behind each stop is central to our tours, and we’ve addressed this directly with our guide team to ensure it doesn’t happen again.
We regret that this experience fell short and appreciate your feedback as we continue improving our tours.
