Sadly I am unable to rate the experience as the guide didn't actually turn up! We arrived 10 minutes before the start time and waited until 20 minutes after and tried to call the guide on the number provided several times but there was no answer. I have requested a refund that I am still waiting to recieve but there has been no explanation or apology offered. My advise.....look elswhere to avoid disappointment.

Sadly, the person running the event failed to meet us. When I called her from the meeting point, I was informed that the trip had been cancelled but I had received no notification of this. This wasn’t ideal as it was our 10th wedding anniversary and we had arranged this as a special treat and we were all ready and waiting. We then did receive notification and a full refund and decided to go up the mountain ourselves where we had a gorgeous lunch on our own time scale and for half the price. Unable to comment on how good the experience is but communication was poor.

This a a great experience. You could do it yourself, and cheaper, but you risk the long lines for the funicular and no availability for the food and wine at the top. This tour just makes it easier. We had walk through privileges at the funicular entrance, then, a table waiting for us at the top. Arianna is a wonderful, knowledgeable hostess. We enjoyed her company and her wine lecture as we enjoyed a local red, white and sparkling. Quite a bit of food, as well. Enjoy!

It was a more intimate experience than I was expecting and that’s a good thing. Arianna was lovely, very informed and a delight. I would recommend her to anyone. She explained the wines and went above and beyond with information on the region and suggestions for other local activities. She guided us to meet her and assisted in a quick journey up the funicular. It was a great afternoon.

So glad we decided to do this tasting. Ariana was very kind and knowledgeable, sharing 3 wines from the regions. Delicious. The food served with each was quite substantial and delicious as well. Along with the ride ok the funicular and the beautiful views into Switzerland plans of Como below, a very memorable experience. Highly recommend.

Adriana was a lovely guide who shared her knowledge of wine with us. The view of Lake Como from Brunate was stunning. We had three wine pairings with food and it was all delicious.

Wonderful experience with a view that can’t be missed. Our host was very knowledgeable on the wines presented and the food it was paired with was delicious. Highly recommend this experience!

Arianna was very knowledgeable about the wine in the area and Italy in general. She even had a book to illustrate using a map of where each wine type was made. We enjoyed speaking with her and learning more about the area.

This excursion was very well planned and executed. Arianna texted us where to meet her and she was wearing a red dress which was easy to spot. She greeted us in a friendly, comfortable manner. We rode the Funicular to the top. We were escorted to a clean restaurant with a spectacular view of Lake Como. We were served 3 types of delicious wines with foods that complemented each variety. With each wine Arianna showed us what region the wine came from and explained how each wine was made. Arianna was a delightful host. The entire experience was perfecto! We highly recommend this unique and interesting experience.
