The drive back to Tirana was excruciating long and tiresome. Too much time was spent at the castle, in my opinion. Also, we only stayed in Berat for an hour after lunch. I would have preferred to stay in the city a little bit longer and felt a little bit cheated. Tour guide was ok...a little bit animated.
Booked on the Viator site. This gave us a pick up point option of millennium hotel. Caught a taxi there 10 minutes before pick up time. On arrival we found the hotel demolished ! There was no response from the site. No response from the guide. We had to catch a taxi to a new pick up point and then yet another one if we usher to join the tour ! Not a good start at all
This was an enjoyable day trip from Tirana. Our guide Lola was excellent: friendly, informative & professional, I couldn’t fault her. I’m giving 4 stars because the day trip was very nice but didn’t wow me.
Guide: Denis was very personable, made sure everyone was kept updated as we had a trouble with bus AC from beginning of tour. This issue was however managed professionally. Driver: courteous and felt safe with his driving skills Thank you both. Sites: Fascinating UNESCO site
Our tour guide Denis is very knowledgeable about the history of Albania! He made us comfortable from the start of the tour until it finished. He’s patient and helpful in every way. I would recommend him if you ever come to Albania. Cheers x
The best part was having a fantastic guide. Noel was very knowledgeable, easy going, and funny. Overall experience was worth it and great way to visit Berat.
Great itinerary and especially great tour guide, Arbar! He was friendly and hilarious. Make sure you bring sunscreen or a hat - you will definitely be enjoying the sun along with the views.
Berat is a beautiful city, but there are better ways to explore it. This tour had very little structure, and probably would benefit from an extra tour guide (2 total) to keep things organized and enjoyable. The tour was delayed from 08:40 to 09:20 overnight (the night before the tour) and yet the guide and driver were still about 30 mins late (09:50). For the experience. You can pay much less (about 7 euro) to take the local minibus (furgon) from Tirana to Berat. AC was not sufficient for the many people on board the bus. Unfortunately we cannot recommend this tour.
Our day tip to Berat was excellent. Berat is a very beautiful city. Our guided tour, Denis, did a great job managing a full bus of 50+ people. Paul Schneider
The weather forecast wasn’t good, so it was nice to go ahead to Belsh (though it didn’t rain until the bus home after all). Our guide Lora was in plain English, which even those of us who don't know much English could understand to a certain extent. The view was amazing and we had a great time.
