Nice tour around Pisa with interesting stops. It saves you the hassle of deciding where to go next among the many beautiful places in the city. I didn’t like the computer-generated voice though, most names were pronounced wrongly, some non-recognisable. The option to download the tour would be great.
Very informative and easy to download. A tour that you can use at your leisure without being tied to a schedule, or following a person with a flag 😄. I would recommend.
It's not the first time I use Walkingcap audioguides (used in Bari and Pisa) so I can confidently say they are very well done! They are a web page with a map of the suggested itinerary and lots of points of interests (they include food spots too!), each with its own description (including photos, audio and text). They allow you to enjoy the city with your own pace, but giving you insides that only locals could do! Really appreciated and hope to have this kind of guide in each city I go!
We were unable to book an in person guided tour, so decided to go for this self-guided option. It was good to be able to pause the tour to stop for refreshments, and we also did the tour in reverse and skipped one of the points so the flexibility this self-guided tour gave us was very useful. The only down side would be that you don't have someone to ask bespoke questions of, if that is what you are looking for. Great value for money too!
Pleasant and enjoyable day Clear and easy-to-use audio guide.
To gain an overview of the cultural peculiarities, this is a wonderful way to learn more. You can take the tour at your own pace. You can also start and stop at various points. The information can be read again later. I find it very recommendable.
If you like your tour read by an AI bot (no inflection, zero emotion, terrible pronunciation of words – – even listing Roman numerals by their letter of the alphabet rather than their number!), then this tour is for you! The content was basic and historical, but could have been more detailed/expanded upon. The best part of the app was the directions and the linking with a Google map – – this was done well.
Ciao! We are happy that you enjoyed the navigation system and, at least, some of the info! We are currently updating also our audio part that is going to be out soon! Hope that this review will help other travellers! Ciao Federica Walking Cap
This was a great walking tour as it enabled us to see parts of the city we may have missed, for example the Piazza dei Cavalieri. It was easy to find all the locations using the map provided. There was good information about the sights.
An absolutely excellent way to see Pisa, very simple to use and follow the download, a click takes you to Google maps and a click for the information relevant to the stop, my mum is 80, it suited us to go at our own pace and the information is timed perfectly and the in between walks to places are short easy and do able!! It’s great value for money, I would do this again!
On holiday with my friend, we really enjoyed the audio tour of Pisa! Done very well, with links that take you, with Maps to the next place to visit! Bravo Matteo! We recommend it!
