凱旋門は、シャンゼリゼ通りの歴史的な中心線、ルーブル美術館のカルーゼル門とラデファンスの門の間にあり、パリ8区の中心にそびえ立っています。パリの屋根の灰色のタイルを見下ろすそのテラスからは、首都の傑出した建造物のユニークな眺めを楽しめます。エッフェル塔は、通りを1本隔てたところにあり、簡単に行くことができます。 また、象徴的なモンマルトル地区のサクレクール寺院、ラデファンスのビジネス街とその高層ビル、アンヴァリッドの金色のドーム、パンテオンの柱廊のあるドーム、遠くに見えるノートルダム大聖堂の塔、壮大なモンパルナスタワー、ジョルジュポンピドゥーセンターも鑑賞できます。

After a lengthy commute across Paris, we arrived to a sign on the office door advising the monument was closed for the day. No explanation. And no notice from the company that took our money. It's getting close to 24 hours since I emailed to advise of the issue, but no contact from anyone besides what I presume is an automated text asking for a review of our experience. 😆😆😆🤪

The Arc de Triomphe is an imposing monument set in the craziest roundabout in Paris. It’s an absolute must when you visit. We chose to go to the top, 284 steps later (and one or two stops) we made it. The views are spectacular and well worth the climb. Definitely a tick off the bucket list.
