We visited the Kabuki theatre museum with our guide Mikio who was kind enough to show us around the premises (not the main hall though) and explain all about Kabuki and the history behind. One can obviously read the explanation that accompanies the exhibition, but having Mikio as a guide made the diffence. If it wouldn't have been for this tour, we probably wouldn't have visited the venue in the first place, nor discovered its basement where locals sell arts and crafts at pretty reasonable prices too!
