🌊 Fantastic Algarve Day Trip! 🇵🇹 A wonderful day exploring Lagos, Portimão, Carvoeiro, Algar Seco and the stunning Algarve coastline. The boat trip was a highlight, although rough seas meant we couldn’t enter the Benagil Caves. A special thank you to Enamul, our driver and tour guide, who was friendly, knowledgeable and made the entire day enjoyable. He looked after us so well and made sure we got the most out of every stop. He definitely takes the best pictures to capture the memory perfectly! Highly recommend this tour — beautiful places, great experience and an excellent guide! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I’m not sure what happened when I look at the other reviews but feel it is important to share my experience as this was frankly a terrible and negative experience, particularly for a private tour. When we were picked up, the car had a strong smell of vomit that we had to deal with for the full day. The tour guide, Enamul took us to several places which were beautiful but didn't communicate anything ahead of time that it would be important to have athletic shoes for climbing, particularly as I mentioned right when we were picked up that I had sandals and could have easily been suggested to grab a pair of shoes. Furthermore, he suggested to leave earlier to beat traffic in the morning and we agreed to leave at 730am. I messaged that we would be there by 735am the morning of, and he replied that we shouldn't be more late to beat the traffic. This was fine, but honestly if the traffic is that bad, I would suggest just having the tour start at 7am or 730am rather than inconveniencing the customer with travel changes the day before as we had to skip our hotel breakfast which started at 8am. The tour guide also made several awkward moments throughout. They kept suggesting ways to save a buck and had lunch with us but wasn't saying much. My guess is that the tour guide was probably dealing with something personal but personally it made a really poor tour experience and the vomit smell was too much to let go without a review, at almost $450 per person.
Thank you for sharing your feedback. We are sorry to hear that some aspects of the tour did not meet your expectations. We would just like to clarify a few points for future guests. We originally suggested a 7:00 AM start because the Algarve itinerary includes many places, and an early departure helps us avoid traffic and crowds and allows enough time to enjoy the tour. As 7:00 AM felt too early for you, we agreed on 7:30 AM. We also stopped during the journey so you could have breakfast, so we did our best to accommodate your schedule. Regarding footwear, we always recommend comfortable shoes because some of the locations involve walking on uneven surfaces and steps. We would also encourage guests to read the tour description and itinerary carefully before booking, so they understand the amount of walking and the type of experience included. Regarding the smell in the vehicle, this was from the newly installed leather seats, which naturally had a noticeable new-leather smell. It was not because the vehicle was dirty. I take great care of my vehicle and always make an effort to keep it clean and comfortable for my guests. For lunch, we always try to recommend local Portuguese restaurants rather than tourist-trap restaurants, because we want our guests to experience authentic local food. Of course, restaurant preferences are personal, and we understand that not every recommendation will suit everyone. I would also like to say honestly that this was a difficult day for me as a guide as well. From the beginning, I felt that we did not connect very well, and the communication throughout the day was limited. As this is a long driving tour, there were also long periods when everyone was resting or sleeping in the vehicle, which made it difficult to create the usual interaction and atmosphere that I normally have with my guests. I always try to treat every guest with the same respect and professionalism, regardless of their background or appearance. If there was any misunderstanding or discomfort between us during the day, I genuinely regret that. I appreciate all feedback and will continue working hard to provide our guests with a memorable Algarve experience. We wish you and your family all the best and safe travels.
Enam was a very friendly tour guide. He picked us up from our hotel at 7am, and drove to Algarve (we left at 4pm). We first did the boat tour where he organized special seats for us. Thereafter we traveled to all the highlights of Algarve. Overall, a personal guided tour is a very convenient way to see the best of Algarve! I enjoyed the trip, and Enam was great to chat to!
Enam was a great guide, very informative and went the extra mile to show us all the site of intrest he could cover on our day trip. Excellent choice of restaurant for authentic Portugese food at reasonable rates.
