この日は、さまざまな場所で富士山の息を呑むようなパノラマの景色を楽しみ、その他多くのサプライズをお楽しみください。
旅の始まりは、富士・箱根地域で最も美しい道とは言えないまでも、1 つから始まります。道路自体にも多くのパノラマがあり、頂上の展望台からは、渓谷、箱根、富士の素晴らしい景色を眺めることができます。雨が降っても霧と緑がとても幻想的な雰囲気です。
箱根神社は、芦井湖畔にある日本の神社です。 757 年に設立され、鳥居 (赤い門)、いくつかの神社や建物、いくつかの土産物店、博物館があります。自然の中に佇むこの地域で最も美しい神社の一つです。
その後、芦ノ湖に到着し、いくつかの有名な鳥居（神社の入口や境内に最も一般的に見られる日本の伝統的な門）や神社に立ち寄ります。
そして、旧東海道沿いにある伝統的な茶屋「甘酒茶屋」に立ち寄ります。 箱根の杉林の中に隠れ、400年以上もの間、旅人を迎えてきた。 内部は、何世紀にもわたる囲炉裏の煙で暗くなった木製の梁が温かみと歴史を感じさせる。 かつて疲れた参詣客に振る舞われた甘いノンアルコールの米酒「甘酒」を、地元の簡単なおつまみとともに味わえる。 茶室以上の、もてなしの精神を大切に守り続けてきた江戸時代の旅文化の生きた名残です。

昼食後、時間が許せば、富士・箱根地域の 2 番目の象徴的な道路を通ります。富士山や芦ノ湖、さらには海までさらに間近に見ることができます！道路沿いには息を呑むようなパノラマが 4 つあり、それぞれに立ち寄ります。
昼食をとり、温泉でリラックスした後は、再び道を進んで野外博物館へ向かいます。ピカソ、ヘンリー ムーア、岡本太郎、水井康夫、佐藤忠良、新宮進などの作品コレクションを所蔵しており、70,000 平方メートルの緑豊かな庭園内に 1,000 点以上の彫刻が展示されています。それは大人も子供も同様に魅惑的でリラックスできるものです。
天気が良くない場合、または急いでいる場合、または両方に興味がある場合は、屋内のポーラ美術館に行きます。美術館はブナの森の中に佇み、箱根の山々にひっそりと佇んでいます。受賞歴のあるモダンな建築物は、周囲の自然との美しいコントラストと調和を生み出しています。印象派絵画を中心に、西洋絵画、日本絵画、陶磁器、化粧品など世界トップクラスのコレクションを展示しています。

We loved our day out with Lenny, he was really friendly and informative and gave us loads of good recommendations for other places to visit throughout our holiday across Japan. We visited a number of shrines off the beaten track, it was still busy but nowhere near busy levels as most other areas we visited in Tokyo/Kyoto. Some of them had queues for pictures but Lenny was able to get us around the crowds so we were able get a good look without feeling overwhelmed. His knowledge of the area is great too, so many interesting facts. Credit to him. We went to a beautiful little tea house and sampled some amazing Amazake, mochi and Shizo. With noting they have a mixture of floor and western table arrangements if your knees can't handle floor sitting. The road up and around Fuji was beautiful with many stop off point for views. Unfortunately Fuji wasn't in view for us, but given she's only visible a handful of days of the year (unbeknownst to us prior to booking) it is what it is. We still really enjoyed our day out and would recommend this company (and Lenny). The car was so comfy, like two armchairs in the back of a van that could recline so after the onsen and massage it was lovely to have a quick nap and recharge the batteries before heading back to Tokyo. The onsen was superb, not busy at all with great facilities, nestled in a lovely valley with views out to nature. It had varying bath temperatures, and indoor jacuzzi style pool and a sauna. It has a restaurant too which had the best gyozas of the holiday, we regretted not leaving enough time to try more there. Overall, we had such a great day out, and if we ever have the opportunity to go out we'd love to do another trip just like this. Worth noting that when you're booking if there's something particular you want to go to like the art museums, check their opening days prior to booking your day.
