Our Guide Abdoul was fantastic : pleasant, very organized and extremely knowledgeable. A truly walking Encyclopedia on the pyramids, Egyptian Archaeology and history. He helped us navigate the immense GEM, highlighting to us the most important showcasing of 5000 years of ancient Egyptian civilization.
What an amazing day! Visited the Pyramids in Giza and the Grand Egyptian Museum with the most wonderful and knowledgeable Egyptologist, Abdul. He has worked in the field his whole life and you can really tell that he loves what he does! At the pyramids we learned so much about the kings they were built for. We went inside one of the queens pyramids and visited the spynx. There was not a question that Abdul could not answer! He gave us plenty of time for pictures and exploration too. We went to a papyrus making exhibition and then to lunch (which was also pretty darned good). The GEM was the highlight of the day. It isnthe most beautiful museum I have ever been to. Abdul showed us the most important things and told us all about them and why they were important! He explained the way that the complete 4500 year old boat was found, removed from the grounds near the Great Pyramid and reassembled at the GEM. Also he was very informative about the displays of artifacts found in all of tje different kind of tombs. The most wonderful thing for me was the Tutenkamen artifacts! What an amazing display! I highly recommend Abdul and this tour! It is very special and a once in a lifetime experience.

It was fantastic seeing the pyramids in person! Abdou shared lots of information with us both at the pyramids as well as at the GEM. He worked hard to show us as many things in the GEM as he could, but I'd have liked a bit more time in each section to look around on my own and take pictures before moving on, rather than giving us a block of time at the end. There was so much to see and digest! Thank you, Abdou, for sharing your knowledge with us!
Our tour of the Pyramids and the Grand Egyptian Museum with Abdoul as our guide was a truly wonderful experience. He was incredibly knowledgeable and took the time to explain everything in detail, both at the pyramids and inside the museum, which made the visit even more meaningful. We were initially hesitant about traveling to Egypt due to concerns about the situation in the Middle East, but we found it to be very safe, calm, and relaxed. We’re so glad we made the trip and are excited to continue our Nile River cruise.
