The tour started 10 min late and the tour organizers kept adding more people. We walked to Vatican grounds and lines were huge and long. Thanks to our guide( I think Aisha?) who tried to expedite our wait under the scorching sun and helped to move us ahead. She was knowledgeable and friendly but the enormous crowd ruined the tour experience. In summary, good guide, greedy tour operators who made a group quite large, high heat, huge crowds prevented us from enjoying this rather informative tour.

We didn’t select the skip-the-line tour, but you wouldn’t know it. Our guide Alishba got us straight through into St. Peter’s Basilica pretty seamlessly on a crowded Saturday. As you can imagine, the basilica itself is breathtaking.

The time of the tour got moved around which was most inconvenient so we were hot tired and hungry as the tour started but our tour guide was incredible in every aspect.

If you want to get a great insight into St Peter’s Basilica and all its secrets you have to do this tour with Ana. She was funny informative and when the lines at security were too slow for her, went up beside the scanner and put people through at twice the speed they had been trickling through. She did this with skill and a jovial attitude so no one could be offended. I would recommend this tour with Ana to anyone who is in Rome for a few days.

Very informative, good length even with children and teenagers, the dome experience is super, a wonderful tour for anyone who does not necessarily want to go into the Sistine Chapel. The tour guide was very easy to listen to and it was very entertaining. Perhaps a tad too sarcastic and critical.
