Monate explained everything to us very well and told us many interesting things. Shaping the mochis is not that easy at all, but they still taste very good.

Amane is an exceptional guide and really made this a special and unique experience. His unique position as a young Japanese man navigating Japan’s push into modernity while also trying to respect tradition makes for a very interesting mochi pounding experience that goes beyond the motions. Extremely fun and interesting experience!

Awesome Mochi making workshop! Our host Shin was very accommodating and just great to talk to. He also pre-pounded the Mochi before we arrived so we didn't have to work up a sweat before eating.
