Waste of money at least the way we saw it. There were 13 of us split in two vans. The tour guide was in one van and we were in the other van. The driver in our van had the guide on his phone. The audio was bad and the folks in the rear could not hear much. The castle was not really worth seeing we went inside couple of places. In the town we were asked to explore on our own.
Great tour! Michael is an encyclopedia of knowledge about all the history and kept us informed and engaged the whole trip.

Michael was a walking history lesson. He used the time we were driving to Heidelberg to walk us through the history of Germany from pre-Roman times. He was extremely knowledgeable and made for a fascinating morning. He easily answered questions and made sure we had time to explore. He was very friendly and personable. We would have taken an extended tour if available.

It is a wonderful day trip with an excellent tour guide. I would recommend this for adults, but I think children might not enjoy it.
Very interesting and I would extend the visit by an hour because there is so much history to discover

It was great. Wish there was longer time in Heidelberg. The tour guide was wonderful and knew his history extremely well. He spoke on the drive to the city and then gave us bathroom time before starting the tour.
Guide was very informative. He gave us a history lesson on the way to the castle and the history of the important parts and figures etc. in the castle. We had time in the city of Heidelberg too and were able to go over the pedestrian bridge to see the river views. The castle has the world’s largest wine barrels on display. Excellent tour.
