It has been great to learn how to bake and experience an iconic dessert of the country; it is definitely worth it, and the host has been very kind and knowledgeable about the cuisine.

I really loved the experience. It was very authentic. I even had my first mate!🧉 Stephannie was really nice and gave great instructions. I would highly recommend the class.

Awesome experience! We travel a lot and we’re always looking for a different type of experience. Stephanie was great. We don’t speak Spanish and she doesn’t speak English but we didn’t let that stop us and we made excellent Alforjas!

We loved the experience of learning to make alfajores from different classes. Stephannie is very knowledgeable, good teacher, super friendly and charming. We learned a lot and took a rich box of alfajores. I highly recommend this workshop.

We had such a pleasant time trying two different ways of preparing mate and alfajores made from almost scratch. As someone who recently started drinking mate regularly who isn’t from a culture where it’s very common, it’s so great to get a step-by-step rundown of how Uruguayans prepare it themselves. I can’t wait to take what I’ve learned and try it for myself. And the alfajores were all so delicious! It’s no surprise that her other work involves making delicious desserts! Stephannie is such a nice person to get to know and she hosts this experience inside her apartment, which makes it a very personal and comfortable experience.

It was the best day of my life. The alfajores are so rich and the class was amazing. She has a lot of knowledge and is so nice. What fun!!!

Holy cow! I booked this because my daughter wanted to do some local cooking… WOW am I glad I did!!! Stephanie is SOOOO talented!!! She is professional and FUNNY, you feel relaxed immediately!!! Even though we don’t speak Spanish!!! And if you are willing to use a translator- there will be no language barriers!!! And you’ll be laughing about not knowing words for each other… And Stephanie knows how to bake!!! Her recipes are gold! The Alfajores were better than any I’ve paid for- period! This was a 7 out of 5 Star experience!!! JUST DO IT!!!

Making Alfajores in Montevideo was a great experience. Stephannie explained everything very good. She is very sympathic and profesional. We did 3 different kinds of Alfajores which are very tasty. I really can recommend the class with Stephannie. I had a lot of fun.

I had a wonderful time learning how to make alfajores with Stephanie. Cooking was done in her apartment and her small but well equipped kitchen. She was very knowledgeable and extremely friendly (as was her dog!)I learned how to make two types Alfajores and another similar dessert. She also taught me how to prepare a proper cup of Maté (and Maté Dulce). I left the class with about 20 Alfajores to share with my friends/family who were impressed.. Great way to spend the afternoon! Thank you!

It was a very nice experience with Stephie, we made alfajores and tried the mate. Stephie is very well organized, she explained everything to us patiently and we actively participated.
