ガラワウはポルトガル語で、村は魅力的な黒い頭の海鳥にちなんで名付けられています。ガラワウの有名なランドマークは、1927年に建てられたキリストの巨大な像です。リオデジャネイロとリスボンのキリストのレプリカです。フンシャルの眺めと港に向かうクルーズを見渡すことができます。
あなたの次の最初の停留所は空港、サンタクルスの隣の町です。短期滞在のための有益な場所です。 pebbled beachには大きなヤシの木が並び、カラフルな漁船がそれらの間にあります。マーケットホールは新鮮な魚、想像を絶する果物や野菜で有名です。漁師を描いた入り口に大きなタイルのフリーズがあります。白い魅力的な教会は16世紀のもので、よく保存されています。
サンタクルーズからMachicoに向かう Machicoの湾はマデイラが発見されたときZarcoとTristao Vaz Teixeiraが上陸した最初の場所でした。それはまるでバルコニーが海と山々を見下ろすかのように見える珍しい形の谷を持っています。水の豊富な自治体です。サトウキビ作物と作物活動は、17世紀までマデイラの経済にとって非常に重要になった。マシコ湾の東側はピコ・ド・ファチョ（Pico do Facho）が320mt（1050ft）の高いピークを誇っています。それはビーコン（facho）にちなんで命名されました。これは、以前は海賊に接近している住民に警告するために点灯していました

Beware buying fruit from Funchal fruit market, some stallholders are keen to increase their profits by trying to increase the weight and choice of fruit. You need to insist of what and weight you wish to purchase. Certainly look but take care buying. Good place to visit.
Thanks for your feedback. While we don't include the Funchal market in our tours, we appreciate your helpful tip for fellow travelers, it's always good to stay aware when shopping in busy tourist spots. Glad you still found it an interesting place to visit!
All went well till a driver took us to a dump called Market. He announced we need to spend an hour there. A dirty dump there poor Portugal’s come to have a drink and greasy snack in the field of mud covered with plastic roof. Filthy environment. Highly recommend to avoid this experience whatever tourist company offers. Bad!

Interesting places to visit. Guide was not very talkative so made trip not as good. English not the best and hard to hear most of time

If I had reviewed Madeira Island Tours after our Nuns Valley trip and the excellent East Coast tour I would have given 5+ stars. But then we did the Sunday Market trip. I thought it seemed a bit short picked up at 9 and returned at 12.15. When I checked the itinery the visits to Santa Cruz and Machito had bee n missed out. Would I pay 26 euros for this... definetely not When I checked the schedule the visits to Santa Cruz and Machito had been missed out

This was a very pleasant and informative tour of the east of the island. The driver/guide was good allowing us to choose how long we wanted in each location.

It is a beautiful viewpoint, with a beautiful view over the tip of São Lourenço, a pity not to be better presented, since it is a beautiful place to visit.
