Our experience with Chania Sea Experience was amazing from the beginning. Booking was super fast and easy with Konstantinos answering to all our questions. We were a big group of 10 adults and 2 kids so we needed some flexibility to adapt the itenerary which was given to us since day one.
The day on the boat was simply amazing!! We keep saying it was our best day in Crete for sure. Skippers were super nice and attentive, we had to adapt the itenerary to skip all the ferries going to the beaches and it made our experience even better. We had drinks, music and a lot of care with the kids too.
We also opted for the BBQ at Gramvousa Island and it was the perfect set for our dinner. The food was really amazing, homemade and tasted very good. Best tsatsiki we had on the island!!
The best part was the sunset, we were at sea watching it and it was an experience we will never forget!!
Thank you to all Chania sea Experience team for the memories we’ve created that say. Could not recomend them more for anyone that goes to Crete. Amazing experience really!!

An unforgettable day on a boat.
From the initial inquiry for an excursion, communication was fluid and responses were quick on WhatsApp. George welcomed us warmly and we even left before the scheduled time. This allowed us to be the first ones at Gramvousa. Then swimming after the climb up to the fortress. Next we headed to Balos. Even though there were already people there, we avoided the crowded ferries. We were able to walk around and swim at our own pace without time constraints, which is really appreciated.
On George's recommendation, we went to have a delicious homemade Boureki and a Greek salad for lunch in a quieter spot where we were able to swim in translucent waters. We ended the day in a small secret cove. George prepared a ceviche for us with fish that had just been caught! A superb day that we will have excellent memories of. Thanks again to George for having greatly contributed to it.
We are restarting Chania Sea Experience at 200%👏👍

Leaving a little earlier and getting to Gramvousa before the ferries is exactly the kind of small detail that can make a big difference. From there, having the flexibility to enjoy Balos, stop for a proper local lunch, find quieter waters and finish the day in a secluded cove is what makes these trips special.

Memorable experience (booked twice … that says it all!)
We had such an amazing experience that we ended up booking this private boat tour twice during our stay (once to Balos and once to Elafonisi and surrounding area).
Our skipper Giannis was fantastic!
He took us to stunning beaches and hidden spots that would have been difficult to reach by car making the experience truly special. Giannis also provided drinks and snacks, which was a thoughtful touch and made the day even more enjoyable.
We were so impressed that we even recommended the company to another Canadian family we met during our vacation. If you’re looking for a memorable day on the water in Crete, we highly recommend this company and especially skipper Giannis!

Best Family Day at Balos w/Chania Sea Experience
Highlight of family vacation to Crete. Easy communication with clear instructions. Greeted at dock by Alex and Konstantinos. Fun music, great snacks and cold drinks. Our 3 young boys (under 12 years) had the time of their lives. Balos is gorgeous and worth seeing. We hiked the fortress too. Would highly recommend Chania Sea Experience for a wonderful day.

Family boat trip
Had an amazing day with Alex. Balos was practically empty when we got there and Alex knew exactly when to leave do we would have the same experience at Gramvousa island. Then on to a secluded swimming spot with the bluest water I have ever seen. Lunch was delicious and the boat was so comfortable, plenty of room for the 5 of us to spread out and lounge. Definitely the highlight of our trip!!

One magnificent day!
Perfect for a family trip.
Alexis is your Captain! He knows his business and the way to avoid the crowds at each spot.
Landscapes were amazing 🤩
The boat was comfortable for the eighth of us, clean, well maintained, with shade for whoever wants it.
Beverages and dakos were plenty and delicious 😋
