Easy process and very fun! It was nice to get to the lagoon before the big ferries. Plenty of parking where you catch the boat. Staff was friendly and we had a great time!

Great tour - easy to access Balos and Gramvousa. Incredible water colour. Bring a hat and sunscreen!

Great trip!! I was so glad my husband and I booked the speedboat tour instead of one of the larger boat tours. We had more time and a guaranteed seat. Our captain was lovely and gave us drinks throughout the trip. If you are looking to travel to Balos, THIS is the way to do it!!

Great way to discover the island of Gramvousa and the Balos lagoon, far from the big ferries. The timing was perfect because we were able to enjoy the island in a very small group.

Amazing afternoon cruise to Balos and Gramvousa — 5/5 We had an absolutely incredible experience and I would highly recommend choosing this small-group cruise instead of one of the large tourist boats. We booked the 3 PM afternoon cruise, and by pure luck we were the only people who booked that time, so it turned into a private trip for the two of us. When we arrived at Gramvousa, one of the huge cruise ships was just leaving. Seeing the enormous crowd of people getting back on that ship made us very happy that we had chosen this tour instead. Once they left, we basically had Gramvousa to ourselves, which was an unforgettable experience. The views from the fortress are breathtaking. After coming back down, we went snorkeling around the shipwreck, which was also fantastic. Then our captain took us to Balos. Going there in the afternoon was probably the best decision we could have made. The light became more and more beautiful, the crowds were gone, and we had plenty of time to swim and enjoy the lagoon in a much more peaceful atmosphere. The boat ride itself was also part of the adventure! The sea was quite rough that day, so the boat was jumping over the waves and the ride was definitely exciting. Our captain was a great guy, very friendly and professional, and we felt that we were in good hands throughout the trip. The absolute highlight was the way back. We left Balos in the evening and watched the sunset from the boat while returning to Falassarna. It was one of the most beautiful moments of our entire trip to Crete. If you’re deciding between this kind of small-group cruise and one of the huge boats carrying hundreds of tourists, I would choose this format without hesitation. And if you can, take the afternoon departure — Gramvousa and Balos in the late-afternoon light, followed by sunset at sea, are truly something special. 5/5. An unforgettable experience and one of the highlights of our holiday in Crete.

A great experience with an excellent captain.

Booked a 1:30 pm tour, at the last minute they contacted us and told us there was only 9 am or 3 pm available- they knew this for weeks, but didn’t give us the courtesy of notifying us earlier. Had to cancel our sunset dinner reservations to take the 3pm. The tour itself was fine. Captain was nice. Just know im Balos, there so no pier. If you want to get off the boat, the only way is to jump in the water.

Fantastic trip. Our captain Panos took us to Gramvousa first to avoid the big crowds. He was spot on because 2 large ships with 1000 people arrived right when we left for Balos. Perfect!
