Terrible experience, entirely due to zero communication and a lack of transparency. We booked the combo for the Botanical Garden, Paradise Cave, and Phong Nha Cave. First red flag: It rained heavily the night before. Instead of telling people beforehand, they waited until everyone was already in the van to announce that the Dark Cave was closed, forcing those customers onto our tour. Second: The Botanical Garden walk was dangerously slippery. Even with good trekking shoes, it felt completely unsafe. The guide kept warning us to be careful, which means he knew it was a bad idea to bring us there in those conditions. Third: Paradise Cave was beautiful despite the long line, but the lunch provided afterward was disappointing. The food was just okay, and there was not nearly enough of it for our table. The absolute worst part was Phong Nha. We waited 20 minutes for tickets and took a 30-minute boat ride, only for the boat to park outside the cave. The guide casually told us boats couldn't enter that day and we'd have to wade through the water on foot (we had closed-toe shoes and didn't want to do this - if they said it before we would have brought shoes matching the activity). He blamed the weather, but he clearly knew this before we even got on the boat (he even said so). If he had just been honest, we would have skipped it and gone back after Paradise Cave. To top it off, we asked for a partial refund for the missed experience and the guide agreed. But the second we were dropped off at our hotel, he suddenly claimed it was a "misunderstanding" and told us to deal with it with our hotel instead. Do not recommend. I felt totally scammed. Save your money, book a Grab, and pay the entrance fees yourself. It’s cheaper and you won't be lied to.

Excellent tour of the botanical gardens, paradise caves and Fong a caves. Tracy was brilliant, informative, fun and looked after us. Her English was top class. I would 100% recommend. Thank you Tracy for a highly positive experience. The lunch was high quality too. Good value for money.

Tracy our guide was funny and really knowledgable during our visit to the botanic garden, paradise cave and dark cave. A really enjoyable day and lunch was delicious (I had the vegetarian option) and a very generous quantity !!

This was a great tour and I loved our guides, Tracy and Andy. They were fun and well-informed about the area. Tracy even told us a few things about the war and what it was like for her family during the conflict. The first place we visited was Phong Nha Botanic Garden where we hiked through the jungle a bit and spotted some big spiders, a huge lizard and a very pretty waterfall. You can come back later on on your own and hike around a bit more but I think what you see on the tour are the most interesting bits of the conservation area. Paradise Cave was super impressive and I loved all the different colours and shapes of the stone. Phong Nha Cave is slightly smaller but really nice as well. It's only accessible by boat and I've heard that if you go on your own, it gets pretty expensive as you have to pay for the whole boat (unless you come in a big group) so I guess it's good to do it as part of the tour.

I had a great time exploring the botanical garden, Paradise Cave and Phong Nha cave with our guides Andy and Tracy. At the end of the tour, they can also drop you off at the duck farm although the entrance fee to the to the farm isn't included. The botanical garden was sweet. There's a very pretty waterfall and you'll do some light hiking. If you're lucky, you can also spot some exotic animals (a huge spider or a gecko, perhaps). Our guide Tracy also told us a bit about the war and how her family's history is tied to it which was really interesting. Later on, I came back to the garden on my own (as there's more hiking you can do) but I think the parts we saw with the tour were the most impressive ones. Paradise Cave was absolutely spectacular, almost like some underground palace. We got there around noon and it didn't feel crowded. Lunch was also great, the portions were big and they have vegan and vegetarian options, too. Phong Nha cave was slightly less impressive than Paradise Cave but still totally worth seeing and the boat trip was really enjoyable. Overall, this was a great tour and I highly recommend taking it if you're in the area.

I highly recommend the tour, especially with Andy, who is incredibly supportive, kind, respectful, and friendly! It was one of the best experiences I’ve had in Vietnam so far!
