Matsumoto gave us a brilliant experience of Kyoto in just one day. He was very knowledgeable without being overwhelming and tailored the day to our interests. We explored iconic sites like golden temple Fushimi inari shrine, Nashik market, and the historic streets of Gion. Note that transportation was not included, we paid the driver in cash — but it was worth it for the convenience and comfort. Some temples also accept cash only so make sure you have enough cash.

We had a wonderful day touring with Yasu, who was incredibly kind, knowledgeable, and easy to spend time with. He personalized the itinerary to our pace and interests, and his deep understanding of Japanese history, culture, and local life made the golden temple, garden, and walk more meaningful. The tour was smooth, well planned, and engaging from start to finish, and we would highly recommend Yasu to anyone visiting Nara or Kyoto.

This Kyoto tour was an efficient and enjoyable way to experience the city in a single day. The schedule was flexible and tailored to our interests, which made the experience feel personal. Everything flowed smoothly, allowing us to focus on sightseeing and enjoying the day.

First, please be aware that the transportation cost is not included. Our guide Kazz met us along with the driver. Though we paid him JPY 100,000, it was worth every penny of it. Our guide was very friendly, knowledgeable and expert in the history of Kyoto. Make sure that temples also require cash payment which seemed strange to us. The tour was great and our family enjoyed it a lot.

This is a walking tour. What appears to offer pickup at the hotel for an extra transportation cost is actually the additional $200 per person of you want a car at all. it’s very deceiving in my opinion, tried to reach Viator to get it fixed and they didn’t care or follow up with me when it still could have been rectified. The tour is supposed to customized based on what you want to do but our tour guide didn’t quite listen to most of what we wanted. Our tour guide was nice but either ran through everything so fast it was hard to keep up or he fell asleep on most travel parts especially on the trains. We had to walk, take trains and buses to get everywhere. remember I thought we were on walking especially since I have a hard time walking long distances. Instead we had to walk 8 hours, the guide led the way but it was all over the place. One of our stops was even closed. Isay, it is not worth the money. Save it and get a tour with another company, we saw a ton with other tour companies while we we were out.

Our visit to Kyoto was greatly enhanced by Ahmed. He was professional, knowledgeable, and well organized, helping us save time while guiding us to the best places at affordable prices. I highly recommend him for any trip.

Our guide, Jaime, was really friendly and knowledgeable. We visited some of the main sights in Kyoto and had lunch in a fun kaiten place. A very pleasant, informative, fun experience.

Kyoto is a gem. Ahmed was well informed and we got to see all the key sights on this private tour. He also found some great spots to take photos for us, which we otherwise would not have found easy. We learnt a lot. Thanks and good luck Ahmed.
