Limited historical knowledge. Tour guide was poorly prepared and brought along his boss/fiancé who constantly corrected him and tested his knowledge. Food choices were just okay, with one main food stop being closed by the time we got there. None of the restaurants were aware that they were food tour guides.

We’re sorry that the experience did not meet your expectations, and we will of course review the comments regarding the historical information and preparation with the guide.
That said, we would like to clarify a couple of points. Restaurants and food vendors are independent businesses and are not required to know or formally recognize our guides in advance. Our tours are designed to visit authentic local establishments rather than staged or pre-arranged tasting venues.
Occasionally, a stop may also close unexpectedly or change its operating hours without notice. When this happens, our guides are expected to adapt the route and find an appropriate alternative, as this can unfortunately happen on any walking food tour.
We do take genuine concerns seriously and will review the parts of your feedback that relate directly to the guide’s performance.

Incredible flavors, relaxing afternoon
What an amazing food tour! Our guide was extremely knowledgeable about the food, the history and the culture. We tried a lot in a compact area so we were able to go at a relaxed pace and just enjoy the food, the surroundings and the people we met. There was a mix of the things you expected as well as surprises and food we wouldn’t have even known to try.

Our best vacation tour ever!
Our guide, Zeshan, provided a wonderful, tasty and educational tour of local Greek food and drink. Clearly, Zeshan is a worldly person, who is not so old in years, but very much so in experience and understanding of people and cultures. Our time together was worth far more than the cost of the tour. We have experienced many tours while in Rome, Sicily, Crete, etc., but this one was by far the very best. It was so helpful that our guide spoke perfect English. Thank you for a beautiful experience!

Enjoyed the best pita… ever!

Personalized experience
My tour with Rebeka was great! We tried so many cute local spots, her recommendations were yummy, and Rebeka was very engaging. I recommend this tour for an incredibly personalized experience and skip the tourist traps.

Authentic Taste of Athens
