Bus was over 45 mins late from the start. Then once bus came we waited another 15-20 mins to leave. Thinking they were trying to get more people to buy tickets and wanted to fill up the bus. Said it had audio but they made us download an app. My husband didn’t have internet so he couldn’t hear anything. Most of the seats we broken and wouldn’t stay upright. Not very pleased with this tour.

I do not recommend this tour. We started 1 hour late as we waited for them to fill the bus with new customers. It’s not a hopon hop off bus. You are instructed to hop off for 10 minutes and straight back on. We didn’t stop at one of the planned points of interest -no explanation. Many people were complaining. The guide was rude and got off as soon as the tour started. The audio was inadequate and patchy at best.

This has to be the worst hop on hop off tour I’ve ever done ( and I’ve done lots over the years). Broken seats on the bus, an audio system that played for 2 mins, bricks under the bus to stop it rolling and a driver who was constantly on his phone. One passenger smacked in the face by the branch of a tree, with no warning given when it could easily have been avoided. We were given no instructions whatsoever as to when to get off, how long for or when to get back on. It seemed that you just had to flag the bus down , according to other passengers who did just that. We had no idea where we were at any time. We complained on return only to be laughed at and found that some had been charged more than others for the tour, but booked with the same people outside Pile Gate. We were charged €25 and others €30. Customer services were very quick to respond initially though, but I now suspect it was a bot or AI generated response. They Acknowledged all of our issues and the promise of a full refund if we took down a negative trip adviser review that we had posted. We did as asked and guess what, still no refund even after chasing. This was my experience and I find it really hard to understand that the positive and 5 star responses are for the same tour!!! If I could post with ZERO stars I would have done!!

Was not organized. Audio didn't match the route. Took 2 hours not 1 hour and fifteen minutes. Driver was not helpful - don't think he knew English.

We booked the Yellow Bus hop-on/hop-off tour on Friday 7th September, our last day in Dubrovnik. We thought it would be a relaxing way to see a bit more of this beautiful city before heading home. How wrong we were! Quite a few of the seats were broken, one of our group was actually hit in the face by one of broken seats. A rather unexpected way to start a sightseeing tour. The tour was advertised as having English audio guide. The audio lasted for around two minutes, and at one point switched to Chinese. So, for most of the journey, we had absolutely no idea where we were or what we were looking at. We could have been anywhere! Then there was the driver, who spent a surprising amount of time on his mobile phone while driving. Not exactly the relaxing sightseeing experience we had signed up for. Things then took a rather more dramatic turn. A second driver had to board the bus to help get us down a particularly treacherous section of hillside. During the manoeuvre, the bus drove into the branches of a tree. Thankfully nobody was hurt. Rocks subsequently had to be put under the wheels to stop the bus slipping. At this point, we were beginning to wonder whether we had accidentally booked Yellow Bus: The Extreme Edition. Eventually, we reached the final destination and went to speak to the ticket sellers about what had happened. We showed them a photograph of the tree joining us. Their reaction? They laughed. The photograph was passed around the ticket sellers and, rather unbelievably, they all appeared to find it hilarious. This was actually the part that upset us most. We had just been through a genuinely frightening experience, one of us had been hit in the face by a broken seat, and we were shaken by what had happened on the hillside. To then be laughed at when we complained was humiliating and extremely unprofessional. Had one of us been on our own, we would have found their reaction intimidating. Even as a group, we all left feeling embarrassed and very uncomfortable. To be fair, when one of our group contacted Yellow Bus customer services, the response was completely different. They appeared genuinely concerned, apologised and acknowledged that what had happened was unacceptable. They asked us not to leave a poor review and offered to refund the cost of our trip. We provided our bank details as requested. And then… nothing. Despite the promise of a refund, we have heard no more and have received no refund. We completely understand that things can go wrong. What we find difficult to accept is how the situation was dealt with — particularly the laughter when we raised our concerns, followed by the promised refund apparently disappearing into the Dubrovnik sunset. Dubrovnik itself was wonderful. The Yellow Bus experience was anything but. We were lucky that nobody was seriously injured, but we certainly didn’t feel looked after, respected or listened to. The whole experience left us feeling shaken and, ultimately, humiliated. A sightseeing tour should leave you with photographs of Dubrovnik’s beautiful scenery — not a photograph of a tree joining you on the trip!

The route was good in that we had some great views; however, the guide was not a person, but a few pre-recorded messages with no anecdotal information. The price was reasonable for the transportation, but next time I would spend more and tour with an actual person who can lend interest and insight.

​We booked the yellow bus tour in Dubrovnik through Viator, looking forward to a guided drive highlighting the local sights. Unfortunately, the experience fell well short of expectations. ​We arrived 10 minutes before our scheduled departure time, only to be told the bus was delayed due to traffic. Traffic in Dubrovnik is understandable, but the delay turned into nearly a full hour of waiting. During check-in, we were instructed to download an audio guide on our phones—a bit surprising since the booking originally advertised a "live guide," but we rolled with it. ​When minibuses finally began arriving, we noticed only red buses, not yellow. The check-in agent rushed us onto a red bus, explaining it was a "sister company." Once onboard, the drop in quality was immediate: the seats were stained, and many were broken, stuck in a full recline. To make matters worse, we sat for another 30 minutes while the operator tried to fill every last seat before departing. ​Once under way, there was no vehicle audio and the promised Wi-Fi didn't work. About 30 minutes into the drive, the driver finally played recorded audio, but it barely synchronized with what we were passing. We did make two brief photo stops, and the scenic views of Dubrovnik were undeniable. ​However, the tour itself lacked any real substance or organization. Being switched to an inferior bus, enduring major delays, and receiving virtually no commentary made this feel like a waste of time and money. Next time, we would opt for a private driver to actually get quality context and a much better experience

We had amazing tour the bus was spotless and open air which was so good has it was so hot. Driver was good he even charged my phone for me. We were picked up at pile gate and dropped off at the cruise port . Our guide was just amazing her name was Antonella she was very knowledgeable and we had a lovely afternoon. As my phone had ran out of battery Antonella used her phone to take photos for me and she sent them to me what great service .

Well what can I say. Met at 950. Got moving about 1035 as the bus was not full to begin with. Down loaded the audio app as that’s the only way to get any information on what you’re going to be seeing. Didn’t think much of this as knowing when to press for each area what hit or miss. Much prefer the bus plug ins or a human guide. Made our way round the tour which was ok, then on our way back the bus broke down!! In all honesty we were not surprised!!! It didn’t sound very well from the off. The driver phoned into the problem to “ head office”. The poor man was so frustrated with them as it sounded like they didn’t believe him ( heavens knows why) they appeared to be shouting at him over the phone. He was a lovely gentleman. Very kind. We did get rescued after the police stopped and spoke to whoever was on the other end of the phone!! The next driver was about to take us on the tour again!! He didn’t seem to have been give any information about where in the tour we were. This bus didn’t seem to healthy either!! We managed to get back after about 3 hours. Was there anyone at the end waiting for us to apologise? No Did we get a phone call apologising? No. ( they had our number) Thing happen. That’s life, but an apology would have been good. Do I recommend this company? No. There are plenty other tour companies to choose from.

Terrible experience. Paid over the top price to a person at the bus. They tried to insist on cash. The guide was a very poor audio recording from a website that was brief. The worse experience of a fabulous holiday
