João was a fantastic guide. He was well-informed and was able to answer all of our questions. It was a cloudy day so he modified the route to give the fog time to lift and it worked out perfectly- like the clouds were lifting just for us! He was energetic, funny and gave us some great recommendations. I would highly recommend this tour and this guide!

Tour operator canceled night before tour. We were sent an email 18 hours before tour that it was canceled.
This is a private tour and well worth the money. It was much easier to see the various sites around the island than with a larger group. Plus we could provide input on what we wanted to see. Joao was a very pleasant guide and we enjoyed our conversation with him about life on the island. Definitely recommend!

John was knowledgeable and enthusiastic to share his island. We went places the busses couldn't get to.
We had the most amazing day with Jerome! He managed to take us to all of the sites/stops before the got crowded. My mother in law was with us and required mobility aids. They were able accommodate all of us and she had a great time. Everyone was impressed with his knowledge, friendliness, helpfulness, and good humor.

Joao was an awesome guide, answering all of our questions and showing us the highlights of the island! His communication in English was a definite asset to us, as non-Portuguese speakers. It rained off and on but he did his best to keep us comfortable and dry. An excellent experience all around! One suggestion is to equip the driver with a microphone and have speakers extending to the back third row of seats. Seniors with hearing issues had difficulty and we were frequently repeating his information to them.
