If you’re wondering whether to book the "Discover Kefalonia" boat trip with Ace Travel aboard the Romantika, stop wondering and just do it. This was our first of two excursions with Ace Travel during our holiday in Kefalonia, and they exceeded every expectation. Melanie, Captain Vengalis and his crew gave us a day that we will remember for the rest of our lives. From the moment we stepped aboard, we felt welcomed. The Romantika is a lovely, comfortable boat with a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. The crew simply cannot do enough to make sure everyone has the best possible experience. Their professionalism, warmth and attention to detail were outstanding. Captain Vengalis was exceptional. His skill and control of the boat inspired complete confidence, and we felt safe and looked after throughout the entire trip. He expertly navigated us into secluded beaches that are only accessible by boat, getting us as close to shore as possible for our swim stops and ensuring everything ran smoothly and efficiently. Then came the moment that turned an amazing day into something truly unforgettable. Over the speaker, Captain Vangelis announced that we were about to head into rougher seas and that things were going to get a little exciting. He explained that anyone who preferred a calmer ride should head inside before he closed the doors, but those who wanted to stay out and enjoy the experience were more than welcome to do so. Without hesitation, James and I made our way right to the very front of the boat. As the waves crashed around us and spray came over the sides, we were soaked to the skin and absolutely loving every second of it. Two other girls wrapped themselves in towels on the side seats while we stood at the front squealing with delight. It was exhilarating, joyful and unlike anything we’ve ever experienced before. And then, as if the moment couldn’t possibly become any more magical, Captain Vangelis played the theme from Titanic over the speakers. Standing there at the bow of the Romantika, surrounded by the sea, laughing uncontrollably as waves drenched us, I found myself crying tears of gratitude and happiness. One moment I was emotional because of the sheer beauty and joy of it all, and the next I was crying with laughter because it was just so much fun. Earlier in the trip, Melanie (Ace Travel) had mentioned to the crew that James and I had got married on the Wednesday. Captain Vengalis congratulated us over the speaker, and we were greeted with cheers and applause from everyone onboard. It was such a thoughtful gesture and made an already special holiday feel even more extraordinary. We honestly cannot thank Melanie, Ace Travel, Captain Vengalis and his wonderful crew enough for creating such a magical and memorable experience. The value for money is exceptional, and the memories they’ve given us are priceless. As we sit here reflecting on our holiday, we’re already looking forward to returning to Kefalonia and sailing once again aboard the Romantika with Captain Vengalis and his fantastic crew. Thank you for helping make our honeymoon week so unforgettable. We will treasure these memories forever.

We had an amazing, full day out with our tour guide Chris. We saw so many beautiful views, and learnt a lot about the history of Kefalonia. I got loads of great photos which Chris helped me take. We had a lovely boat ride and picnic, trying traditional Greek foods.
