A fantastic day out! We are staying West on the island and definitely worth the trip over. Mandy and Alex were great hosts, really informative and friendly and great chefs. The food was delicious and plenty of leftovers to take home. We learnt a lot and great recipes to take home with us. So much squeezed into 4 hours, great value for money. Would certainly recommend to anyone interested in cooking!
Amazing food and story telling
Not just a great cooking class but also a Greek history lesson, fabulous food, fantastic execution by everybody at Green Frog (especially Mandy & Alex) and an opportunity to meet knew people. I had a fantastic morning/afternoon with Alex and Mandy learning to cook Greek dishes. I was on my own but made to feel part of the group and learned so much about the island and history as Alex is very knowledgeable. The food was amazing and seemed so easy to make so will definitely be putting these recipes to the test when I get home. Thank you for a memorable time.
I attended a course with Mandy and Alex who were amazing hosts, and enjoyed it so much I returned to take a different course the following day with my husband. Both courses were amazing and easy to follow for the not so confident, but after 30 plus years in catering I still learnt a lot. We can certainly recommend taking a course at The Green Frog. Bonus is you get to eat all the dishes that you have prepared.😋
Set in the lush garden of a local restaurant/market the four hour cooking class seemed like minutes. The second generation restaurateur (Alex) and his English mother, (Mandy) are the yin and yang who make the magic of traditional Greek dishes. Admixed with local culture and Greek history, it was entertaining. Each dish featured the freshest ingredients and simply delectable.
Great fun and tasty cooking workshop at The Green Frog! 5 delicious dishes made together with fellow students. Of course also eaten together! Meanwhile, also much wiser about the history of Zakynthos!
What a wonderful cooking day. The food was absolutely delicious — fresh, generous, full of flavour, and made with real love. We enjoyed learning, cooking, laughing and sharing the whole experience in such a beautiful setting. The hosts were kind, welcoming and great fun, making everyone feel completely at home. It was one of those days that felt relaxed, joyful and genuinely memorable. Highly recommended.
We joined the Friday class and cooked a fantastic lunch together with the other guests. We learned how to use the different spices. We tasted different cheeses and olive oils and like the way how Alex and his mother presented the cooking class. It was by far the greatest experience during our holiday on Zakynthos.
Fantastic cookery experience run by Alex and Mandy, very informative and enjoyable. The restaurant is beautiful and well situated with good parking at the rear. The additional information on history and culture were fascinating and it was a great opportunity to meet with and talk to other Greek food lovers, would highly recommend.
