Unfortunately, we have not received any money back to this day, although we were assured that the costs for the cancelled tour, minus the transfer, would be transferred back. We messaged back and forth with Lagum Adventure via WhatsApp. They had our name and also informed us that the tour was cancelled. They wanted to pass it on to the finance team so that we could get our money back.

This experience was one of the worst "tours" I did in the Philippines. I was picked up late with no communication. Then, what I booked (van to underground river, tour, then van to Puerto Princesa) was not allowed due to weather but this was not communicated either. There was no guide, only a driver, who was not even aware of what I had booked and did not speak English which is rare in the Philippines. It was then offered to me that I go to the company office in Puerto Princesa and wait for a town tour instead and to be given a refund of the difference. Needless to say, I did take that option, but have not had any refund of the price difference as promised and have not had any communication since.

The tour itself was fine we got to see the river and the tour guide Harry and driver Mike were good to deal with. The drive to El Nido was clearly not with Lagum and just a generic shared van that stopped to pick up people of the side of the road every 5 minutes, there wasn’t enough space for people’s luggage. When we arrived at El Nido van terminal we asked why we weren’t being dropped at the accommodation and were told vans couldn’t go to the centre. I have two emails from Lagum confirming drop off to our accomodation which in one email they confirmed we would be dropped off - after a 4-5 hour van ride + tour having left at 7am in the morning and arriving there at 8pm that wasn’t what we wanted to deal with. So far the operator has come back with generic responses like we should have known vans don’t drop off in the centre and haven’t responded to the fact that there are emails confirming hotel drop off or the additional cost.

Our driver Will was kind, efficient and accommodating. The underground river tour is a must see! Our trip was flawless! Thanks Will!

Our driver Bayani was great. The tour guide Jesrille was also great. The underground river was impressive. I would have rated the experience 5-star except for the poor communication of the local tour operator. The local tour operator texted us 2 days before the tour to confirm. But they sold our contract in the last moment to another operator which dispatched the driver with the wrong passenger names. The driver showed up at our hotel at 8:30 AM with the paper work showing the local travel agent’s name that we didn’t recognize from our communication the previous day, and with passenger names that did not match ours. We contacted Viator for clarification. Both Viator and I tried to call the original local operator Lagum Adventure but nobody answered the phone until after 9:30 AM. After we finally cleared things up and started our private tour an hour late, Lagum texted me and told me that because our drop-off hotel was too far from downtown El Nido, I had to pay an extra PHP 1200. I booked the trip more than a 3 weeks in advance. They could have told me about the extra charge much earlier.

Who was canceled at the last minute and I have not received a refund. I had to take a different ride to El Nido to my hotel. Probably a good tour, but I didn’t be able to go.

Amazing Tour with friendly driver and tour guide. The Underground River Tour is a crowded place. So be ready for crowds. Our driver, Carl, was SUPER friendly and helpful and the tour guide was also good. To avoid the crowds / line we did another little side trip where you could either zipline or you could take a boat through a mangrove forest and see monkeys and snakes. By the time we got to the Underground River there was almost no line for the boats. The lunch was yummy. The drive to El Nido after the tour is LONG, but this is not the fault of the tour company, it just is what it is. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!

Trip was cancelled by the organizer due to the weather, despite daily demand and complaints no money back to date! Not recommended, communication is terrible!

Great experience. An extraordinary example of the nature’s grandeur. There are many people and it takes time both to board and to enter the cave, but it's worthwhile. The organization might be a little bit more accurate in communication.

The tour organized by Lagum Adventure was the worst experience of our lives. Everything was extremely poorly organized. We were given a meeting time in the morning, and the transfer arrived one hour late. The van driver seemed to think he was on an F1 racetrack; we did not feel safe at all — quite the opposite. At a certain point, we were dropped off at a rest stop without any notice, where we were picked up by another van. Only then did the situation improve slightly, allowing us to finally enjoy the Underground River. However, on the return trip, once again we were left in the middle of nowhere for several hours waiting for another van, without receiving any clear information about who would arrive or when. Strongly not recommended — truly awful. A continuous nightmare, especially because even on the return journey the driver was driving at reckless speeds, with all of us crammed inside, packed tightly against one another.
