ユネスコ世界遺産に登録されているこの 7 世紀のアルメニア大聖堂は、国内で現存する最古の教会の 1 つです。この大聖堂は、聖フリプシメが殉教した場所に建てられました。すべての教会で認められた最初のキリスト教聖人の 1 人である聖フリプシメの悲劇的な歴史を学びましょう。
4～5世紀に建てられたエチミアジン大聖堂は、アルメニア使徒教会の母教会です。古代アルメニアで最初に建てられた大聖堂と考えられており、世界最古の大聖堂とみなされることもよくあります。また、ユネスコ世界遺産にも登録されており、敷地内にはアルメニア最古の大学と、アルメニア使徒教会の長であるカトリコスの所在地があります。

修道院へ向かう途中、壮大なグニシク渓谷に驚嘆してください。その赤い岩の断崖と峰々は、「アルメニアのグランドキャニオン」というニックネームで呼ばれています。13 世紀から 14 世紀に建てられたノラヴァンク修道院は、国内で最も特別な修道院の 1 つです。2 階建ての設計とオープン ドームを備えたこの修道院は他に類を見ません。ノラヴァンクの建築家モミクと彼の石工の遺産のロマンチックな物語を学びましょう。
アレニの人々は紀元前 4 千年紀から、固有のアレニ ブドウからワインを造ってきました。6000 年経った今でも、人々は先祖と同じ方法で同じブドウから同じワインを造っています。エレバンに戻る前に、伝統的なワインセラーで地元の自家製ワインを試飲してください。
アルメニアの農産物の大半を生産していることで有名な美しい州をドライブします。

I had the pleasure of joining the tours arranged by Envoy Tour in Armenia: Enlightened Armenia (which is this one that I am reviewing), Essential Armenia, and Enlinking Armenia. The tours were well organized, I saw a lot but the tours never feel rushed. Also, for lunch stops I dined at local families’ houses, and the whole experience felt much more authentic. If you want to visit Armenia, I highly recommend Envoy Tour to be your tour operator too.

This tour took us out of a Yerevan to different corners of the country that would have been difficult to reach otherwise on our own. Marine did a fantastic job as our tour guide providing interesting information and keeping thé tour running on time. The stunning view of Mt Ararat and a climb into the dungeon where the story goes is where St Gregory was kept were memorable highlights of the trip. Other worthwhile stops include St Hripsine, Norovankh, a winery in Areni, and Echmiadzin. What sets this tour apart from the others is that lunch is at a local home. Envoy has worked with this family to provide a local experience for years. It is good to know an agency is supporting community development. In time, this family received support from UNDP to update its kitchen and put in indoor toilet facilities.

This tour was amazing, the architecture of various churches was incredible. Noravank Monastery was a real gem, and the view on Ararat from Khor Virap is something special. Highly recommend pairing this with the other tour offered by Envoy to Garni/Sevan etc.. to really cover many great sites outside of Yerevan.
