Enjoyed the tour thoroughly The transportation however was poorly organized We were waiting there and our bus left so we had to rebook and wait again

Great experience. Alton our driver was excellent. Great knowledge and a sense of humor. Plantation guide gave great history of the plantation.

Very nice mansion! And i.pressive trees. Our driver, Alton, was amazing. During the ride he kept giving us information on the town.

We did the 10:00 AM tour with transportation from New Orleans and overall had a great experience. The bus ride out was very comfortable, and our driver provided a lot of interesting history and information along the way, which made the ride enjoyable. Once we arrived, we had about 40 minutes to explore the grounds on our own before our 12:00 PM house tour. Our guide through the house was very informative and provided plenty of history and background throughout the tour. Afterward, we had another 30 minutes or so to explore the grounds before it was time to leave. The only issue we experienced was with the return transportation. At our scheduled pickup time, we were told the bus had a flat tire and that help was on the way. A little over an hour later, another bus arrived and brought us back to New Orleans. While the delay was inconvenient, these things happen, and it didn’t take away from the overall experience. Overall, we had a great time and felt the tour was well worth the money. The transportation, history, house tour, and time to explore the grounds made for a very enjoyable day.

This tour of Oak Alley Plantation was excellent! We truly appreciated the comfy and clean Gray Line bus which transported us there. Stacy, our driver, was fantastic. She was friendly, yet professional, with a ready smile. She gave us lots of historic details about New Orleans and the surrounding area. The plantation tour was very educational. The tour guide in the Big House, with his deep, DJ-like voice, was excellent and full of interesting stories and details. The grounds with gigantic Oak trees and gardens were beautiful. The restaurant and gift shop were well-appointed and satisfying. I love the pralines! And the ice cream was delicious and the ice cream shop inside sitting area was clean and spacious. The bathrooms were also clean and well-kept. Highly recommend this tour if you’re interested in historic sites.

Only about a ten people on the tour. The Grayline bus was a full size bus. Left us standing outside in the heat until after our boarding time and right up to our departure time. Seemed unnecessary. Our bus ride guide didn’t show up but, Dwayne, our driver filled in very well. If he hadn’t said the guide wasn’t coming, I would have not known the difference. The plantation tour was fabulous. The guide for the house was fabulous. After the house tour, you were free to walk the gardens and walk some self guided exhibits. All very interesting and very well presented. There was a perfect amount of time to take in the sites before getting back on the bus.

The plantation is beautiful with 200 year old oak trees lining the front entrance. Lots of history mixed with sadness and grandeur. Excellent tour of the big house, all other areas are on you own. Be sure to watch the 10 minute clip about surgur cane in the garden by the big house
