Elmer was the best guide I could have had. Kind, fast in lines, and very knowledgeable about the place (and an excellent photographer!). The person in charge of Cosmo Expeditions, Jonathan, was also very helpful and very kind. But both Viator and TripAdvisor guaranteed my reservation for a day in August when there were no tickets. A week before my visit to Machu Picchu, with the whole trip organized, they canceled my visit!!! Only through my persistence on the phone with Cosmo Expeditions and thanks to Jonathan was I able to solve it: they rescheduled my visit for a day earlier. I had to modify all the reservations, but it was worth it. Conclusion: Viator/TripAdvisor sell spots without having confirmation of availability.
Dennis, who booked our tickets, was dedicated about both communication and adjusting to our needs, despite it being a last minute booking. Our tour guide, Cesar, was knowledgeable and passionate about Machu Pichu. He knew a lot of people in the park, and as a result it was a seamless and enjoyable experience. Afterward, he rode the bus with us and made sure we made it to a good place for lunch before our train departed. If you're going to Machu Pichu, book through Dennis, and make sure you ask for Cesar as your guide. 10 stars out of 5. Amazing.
This tour with Elder was wonderful! He was an informative, friendly, and knowledgeable guide. He gave us a great tour of Machu Picchu. The pick-up, bus ride, and entrance tickets were seamless and Elder handled it all. I would highly recommend this tour!!
It’s a great experience. Elder was very informative about the history of the area and helped answer all my questions. He also was patient about waiting for me to catch my breath as we climbed. The air is very thin so be ready for that. Highly recommend this activity.
Machu Picchu is breathtakingly beautiful, important and a powerful place to experience. But it was our guide Jorge Elder who made it a REAL day to remember. He was friendly, knowledgeable (everything from the structures, history to the flora and fauna) and elevated an already amazing experience. If you ever consider coming to Machu Picchu, he is your man!!
Our guide, Jorge, was excellent. He provided outstanding service, was always attentive, friendly, and willing to help. He solved every problem we had and assisted us whenever we needed it. He made our experience much more enjoyable. Highly recommended!

Elder is an excellent guide and explained the whole history of Machu Picchu to us very well. Highly recommended.
We booked the tour to tour Machu Picchu in July 2026. Julio was my POC all through and ensured I was updated every step of the way. We wanted to do a circuit 2, however they were out by the time we booked. Julio helped me with the various options given we could not procure Circuit 2 tickets, but promised that we would have an amazing time in Circuit 1. And they delivered very well on the promise. Our guide for the day was Ruben and he ensured we were prepped from the time they assigned him to our family. He walked us through the entire plan and what we should be prepared for. On the day of the tour, he met us right on time and helped us navigate the process very smoothly to get to Machu Picchu. Ruben was very patient and explained the history and the details of the historical ruins and ensured we had a memorable experience that we too back with us. I would definitely recommend Cosmo Expeditions (Julio and Ruben) for any of your future Machu Picchu tours or any other Peru tours.
