Great to see the largest palace in the world and an excellent historical walk through from a highly superior guide Omar. If you can see Versailles do it with Omar he is extremely knowledgeable and personable and professional as well.
Our guide Mauro was informative, thorough, humorous and pleasant... He really put the art and architecture in historical perspective, although the crowds were awful and you can't pause for more than a few minutes before being rushed to the next room. The gardens merit a trip on their own, as they are vast and beautiful, and the separate Trianon gardens are not to be missed.
The guide in the morning bus, Clio, was delightful, but our guide inside the palace moved quickly and did not check that everyone was physically able to follow. My elderly father got stuck in the crowd past the hall of mirrors, and while I was trying to get him through, the guide moved on and we lost signal to her. Her flag was small and bent, and we weren't able to find her. We sadly missed the last half of the tour due to this. I called the City Wonders number, and while they were helpful and apologetic, they were also not able to contact the guide. Due to this, I would not recommend the tour to anyone with mobility issues or people with children. The tour guide moved way too quickly and was neglectful of the group in an extremely crowded day.

Our tour guide for the palace was terrific, altho the audio dipped in & out occasionally. She was very approachable, enthusiastic and very knowledgeable. Made a happy memory!!
Omar was the absolute best guide we ever had. He had so much knowledge about the palace and the history of the kings and their families. He was so kind and gracious to everyone and had a wonderful way about him. We highly recommend Omar and this tour!
The bus the driver excellent. Our guide on the bus was very informative friendly helpful great lady. The guide inside again informative and friendly. She knew a lot about the palace.
Versailles: Skip-the-Line Tour of Palace and Gardens Access: Directions to tour meeting point were excellent, directly across from the train station. We were greeted by a very friendly representative who told us what to expect. Our tour guide, Gabriella was exceptional. Friendly, informative and over all excellent. She was extremely knowledgeable and helped made our visit to the Palace extra great. We were also glad that we paid the extra money for the Trianon. We arrived for our tour at 10 and left the grounds at 5:30 and there was so much to see! The only negative was there were only a few food stop options and the lines were extremely long. As you will be walking the entire time, be sure to were very comfortable walking shoes. Highly recommend this trip.
I really enjoyed the guide prepared by Mauro in English, he had a very good energy and it was very entertaining to listen to him explain the history and facts to us while we explored
Omar was an exceptional guide. He was so personable, knowledgeable and funny. He was a highlight really. The only negative of the experience: we were instructed (by the first tour rep on the bus) to be back at the bus at 2:30 and it turned out to be 3 o'clock.
Amazing trip with City Wonders. Easy coach to Versailles, though the meeting location was a bit confusing from the metro station; we did end up finding the spot eventually and were able to help flag down other tour guests as they came in with the same confused looks. Our guide Omar was absolutely amazing; he was charismatic, fun, and a wealth of knowledge. Cant say thank you enough to Omar for the wonderful experience.
