Fantastic day trip to Positano and Amalfi! The combination of comfortable coach travel and cruising along the coast made the day really enjoyable. The scenery was absolutely spectacular, and seeing Positano and Amalfi from both land and sea was a highlight. It was a long day, but very well organised and definitely worth it. The coastal views, beautiful towns and relaxing boat rides made for a memorable experience. Highly recommended if you want to see the Amalfi Coast without having to worry about organising all the transport yourself!

Perfect day! Only a rare cloud in the sky. Great views of Mt. Vesuvius and the Mediterranean coast from Naples all the way to Positano. Our guide, Errica, went above and beyond and had given us all her phone number so that I could contact her to get directions when I made a wrong turn walking back to the meeting point in Positano. She has a wealth of information and shared it all day, into the night. It’s a long way from Rome to the Amalfi Coast and back

We had a phenomenal day visiting Amalfi and Positano, and our tour guide, Barbara, made the experience even more special. From the moment we got on the bus until we got off, she shared so much interesting history, information about the sights, and wonderful recommendations. She was knowledgeable, funny, personable, and truly made the day enjoyable. Our driver was also very careful and cautious, which made us feel comfortable and safe throughout the winding roads. The only thing we would have loved was a little more time in Positano. It felt like we had about an hour and 30 minutes at each location, but we completely understand that there is a schedule to follow, especially with the distance traveling from Rome to the Amalfi Coast and then back to Rome. Overall, the experience was phenomenal, and Barbara was a big part of what made our day so memorable. We truly enjoyed every moment and would definitely recommend this tour!

The trip was bette than I ever expected. Barbara was a fantastic tour guide throughout the entire trip and made everybody feel well informed and safe. I would highly recommend having her for future tours!

It's a wonderful and full day! Our guide, Robert, was extremely knowledgeable and humorous. The boat ride was excellent and provided amazing views of the coast, Amalfi, and Positano. Robert also provided excellent restaurant recommendations.

I ended up getting another 25% refund from City Wonders. Still not even enough if you read through previous correspondence with the tour operator (see below): ------------------------------------------------------------------------ To Whom It May Concern: I am writing to formally escalate my complaint regarding the Amalfi Coast tour my party of three took in August of 2026, and to request a substantially higher refund than the 25% currently offered. Timeline of what occurred: 1. The tour was scheduled to depart at 7:20 AM. Due to a last-minute change of bus driver caused by your company's own staffing/organizational issue at the departure point, we did not leave until 7:50 AM. 2. This 30-minute delay pushed our departure directly into the start of morning rush hour traffic, which caused us to miss the Salerno–Amalfi ferry — the centerpiece of the tour and the primary reason we booked it. 3. We were rerouted by bus to Sorrento, a stop we had no interest in and did not book, and given one hour there. 4. On return to the bus, departure was delayed a further 25 minutes waiting for one late passenger, reducing our remaining time even further. 5. Approaching Positano, we were transferred to smaller vans. Our van's driver got lost en route, so instead of the scheduled 2 hours in Positano, we received approximately 45 minutes. In total, of a full-day tour costing $492 for three passengers, we spent roughly 10 hours on buses/vans, 1 hour in a town we never intended to visit, and 45 minutes in Positano. We did not receive the boat ride along the Amalfi Coast, did not visit Amalfi at all, and received well under half of the allotted time in Positano. I want to directly address the explanation provided in your response to another guest on this same tour, since it mirrors the explanation given to me: you describe the delays as resulting from "unexpected traffic conditions... outside of our control." This is not accurate. By your own account, the delay originated from an internal decision to change bus drivers at departure, which caused us to leave 30 minutes late and drive directly into rush hour. That is a foreseeable and internal operational failure, not an external, uncontrollable event. Attributing the outcome to traffic obscures the actual root cause. A 25% refund does not reflect what was actually delivered. We paid for three core components: the coastal boat cruise, a visit to Amalfi, and two hours in Positano. We received a fraction of one of those three. A refund proportional to services actually rendered would be significantly higher than 25%, and I am requesting that you recalculate the offer on that basis. I am requesting a refund of at least 75% of the total tour cost ($492), reflecting the substantial and admitted failure to deliver the tour as sold. Please respond within 14 days with a revised offer. If a satisfactory resolution is not reached, I will pursue this through a credit card chargeback, a Better Business Bureau complaint, and public documentation of this experience, including the timeline above. I look forward to your prompt response.

This trip is not worth the money. You do not get very much time at all to spend at each of the locations due to the long bus ride to the top of the mountain only to ride down the very same route again. After you’re done with only one hour to see Sorrento and or Positano, you go back up the mountain the same ride again I need to come down again. The whole setup was ridiculous, not enjoyable. Also, the ad had indicated a multi coast trip, which I thought I had paid for only to find out once I boarded the bus that it was not included. The title of the trip. Says Amalfi. Day trip with a coastal cruise. You have to be so very careful to be sure that you choose the Cruise because that apparently was not included. I would like to ask for a refund at least a partial credit for the misleading ad.

On a positive start; our guide Pari and Driver "The Titan" Are kind and knowledgable . Pari gives great attention to the details, history and care to the guests. The platform for this tour fell short. After departure I heard a guest speaking to Pari that they are on the wrong tour. I became aware that I also was not on the correct tour I booked for my Birthday on the 23rd. It is very very misleading when booking this tour combined with a ferry tour of the coast. It was brought to my attention that I checked the box for the included boat tour, however below is a choice for an English speaking guide that I checked as well that changed my reservation. When I showed my electronic ticket to board the bus, the caption is printed with the tour included AND the description of the booking shows check marks for the cruise portion. It's only if I had clicked on the actual booking that I would have known it was the wrong tour and I could have corrected it. My disappointment was great since it was a birthday present for myself and the water portion is the only reason I booked the tour. The second disappointment was the short short time that we actually spent at the beach. There was a shuttle confusion that went from 1 hour 45 minutes of beach time to only 50 minutes to walk to the beach and hurry and walk back to the shuttle. I had 20 minutes to get my feet yet in the sea with no time to swim, rush to drink one beer and walk back to the shuttle. The Sorrento visit was very short as well. The recommended restaurant had a beautiful view, however the service was not good, very difficult to order and to be served. The dishes were not well prepared. The prices for the quality is poor. Everything appeared to be we were an inconvenience. Paying the bill was the easist part. The bathroom break venue was quick but the bathrooms were not clean. The building is in disrepair inside and the staff was not enthused about serving another bus tour. I'm a flight attendant with Delta Airlines. I understand about crowd fatigue. I also understand it's the service received that makes the difference. The guide, the expertise of the driver and the guests on board were lovely. The bus was comfortable. I'm not sure about booking another tour again soon. Mostly, I had envisioned a wonderful experience on the water with swimming available.

Our Amalfi & Positano day trip from Rome was absolutely fantastic! The scenery was breathtaking, the coastal cruise was beautiful, and the entire experience was incredibly well organized. Our tour guide, Barbara, was AMAZING! She was extremely knowledgeable and informative, but what really made her stand out was how entertaining and engaging she was throughout the day. She brought the history and culture of the area to life while keeping us laughing and enjoying every moment. The Amalfi Coast and Positano were even more beautiful than we imagined, and seeing them from the water was truly unforgettable. We highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Rome who wants to experience the Amalfi Coast in a day. Five stars all around—and an extra five for Barbara!

Our guide, Barrrrrbarrrra!, ( roll your r’s!), was excellent! Very informative, kind, funny & knowledgeable. She kept our large group together and on time at the necessary expense of getting everyone together at the meeting points earlier than needed. We were disappointed by the limoncello tasting. It was just a guy standing out front of a shop giving out tiny free samples to everyone, including our group. You can find that at other places. I would recommend skipping that as it wasted valuable time which was very short in each town. The little headsets that they use at the Colosseum and other places would be very helpful. She had a microphone and speaker, but our group was so large and the places were crowded & noisy that it was hard to hear her; not her fault though. If you want to spend more than 60 quality minutes in one of these places, pick Positano and just go there. Skip the dozens of shops unless you like the touristy tchotchkes. Although if you like lemons, this is the place for you! We do give it 5-stars; it was a very efficient way to see both places and the “whistle stops” at each place are necessary to keep it under a 15-hour day. Barbara is the guide you want! Ciao, ciao!
