Circa 6km from Cordoba, worth getting a pickup/guide from Cordoba, unfortunately when we booked - circa 2 weeks in advance only a Spanish Guide was available so this part of the experience was limited. English tours are available. A new visitor centre has been built circa 10 minutes drive from the site, which was really helpful in explaining the site and its history - Spanish but with English Sub-titles. If you have a spare day then yes the site is worth a visit, but not as extensive or complete as other archaeological sites in Europe

A really wonderful experience during our tour with Elena. She is warm, engaging, and very educated about her topics of interest. She communicate communicated well, and was prompt and showed up on time. We learned quite a bit about the Al- Andalusia caliphate in Cordoba with her, and she was able to field many questions that we had concerning a very complex history of the area. My wife and I would very much recommend Elena to tour the historical sites of Cordoba.

Ana is an amazing guide, she made the tour enjoyable and had answers to all the questions my children could think of. We ended up happy and recommend it 100%!

What an amazing and special place to visit, definitely worth it as you can use your imagination on how life there used to look like when your guide tell you all the stories. We were guided around very nicely by Belén who knows how to make the stories come to life.

My son and I recently did the private tour of Madinat Al Zahar with Elena. It was truly an amazing experience. Elena’s knowledge of the historical, religious, and social significance of the site was incredible. She provided insight about the daily life of the inhabitants as well as information about the relationship to things happening in today’s world. I would definitely recommend this tour with Elena.
