If you are planning a trip to Java, watching the sunrise over Mount Bromo is an absolute must. We put our faith in Landscape Bromo and they delivered perfectly. Their communication before the trip was seamless, taking away all our travel anxiety. Our guide, Inggrid, truly made the day special. Her English was fantastic, and she was so warm and interested in getting to know us. While we noticed other tour guides abandoning their groups, Inggrid stayed by our side the whole day. She knew exactly where to take us for the best sunrise views and even helped my wife up the steep climb to the crater. Paired with their safe, considerate drivers, the experience was flawless. We highly recommend Landscape Bromo to anyone wanting a magical, hassle-free trip!

The service provided was wonderful. We were collected on time, arrived with plenty of time spare prior to sunrise, had a fantastic location to watch sunrise and capture images on Bromo and more importantly our guide knew all the best spots for photos and wrapped the day off with a lovely authentic breakfast!

We had an amazing experience visiting Mount Bromo with Landscape Bromo. The entire trip was well organized, and everything went smoothly from the moment we were picked up until the tour ended. Our driver, Mr. Andi, arrived on time and drove us comfortably to the Jeep meeting point. He was polite, professional, and made us feel safe throughout the journey. The transfer process was quick and hassle-free. Instead of joining the popular sunrise tour, we decided to visit Bromo in the afternoon for the sunset. Since it was the school holiday season in Indonesia, this was a great choice because the area was much quieter, allowing us to enjoy the scenery without the usual crowds. Our Jeep driver, Mr. Hari, was fantastic. He expertly navigated the rugged mountain roads and took us to the Sea of Sand and several scenic viewpoints. Although the ride was naturally a bit rough in some sections, it was all part of the adventure. He was friendly, knowledgeable, and had a great sense of humor, which made the trip even more enjoyable. The weather was incredibly clear, giving us breathtaking views of Mount Bromo and the surrounding landscape. We felt lucky to experience such beautiful scenery in a peaceful atmosphere. Overall, Landscape Bromo provided excellent service with friendly staff, experienced drivers, and a well-organized itinerary. We would happily recommend them to anyone looking for a comfortable and memorable Bromo experience. If you have the chance, consider the sunset tour. It offers a completely different and much less crowded perspective of this incredible place.

Pick up from our house was at midnight, by our guide Rizky (what ‘s in the name)… and our driver… Rizky explained that we would drive to the jeep pick up point in about 2 hours, then a one hour Jeep drive, coffee and fried banana on the mountain and waiting for sunrise, and then a drive to the crater and back to the house… sounded easy enough… But first our Indonesian (non-English speaking driver) needed petrol… bit strange I thought that he had not arranged that before setting off but hey ho I do realize sometimes I assume things would be done as in NL. So three petrol stations (something about availability of the right priced petrol), a huge queue of petrol motorbikes ready to race during the night, stalling the car twice and driving into a plastic pylon later and we are on our way… The start of the Wacky Races… Rizky told us to relax and sleep some more, but that was impossible… it felt like our driver was now racing (maybe to catch up for lost time for the petrol search)? Overtaking both racing motorbikes, trucks and other cars, not really bothered by any visibility of what was coming ahead… when I said to Rizky that it was more important for us to come back alive than it was to be in time for the sunrise (which by the way was still 4 hours away with only a 3 hour drive) he said “this is how people drive in Indonesia”… but of course we had just had drivers who had not been driving like this at all… so after yet another overtake without visibility where I actually could not help myself but scream when a truck came in sight ahead, we made Rizky tell the driver not to overtake without visibility… this helped a bit although then we turned onto the two lane motorway so the issue was gone… After the motorway, we turned into a mountain road and the issue became worst… of course I get that he needed to go with the flow of traffic, but we had to ask him multiple times not to overtake right in front of a dead corner… The higher up we came the harder it was for the car; where others started to transfer to a jeep already our jeep was a lot higher up still (about 20 min), as this was cheaper in petrol… with these narrow roads, Rizky said he did not like all the jeeps on the mountain as they were so wide and overtaking them was not great, nor was it great if they came from the opposite direction, which they did a lot to pick up passengers from below… The higher we got the more I felt we were sitting in a death trap, with jeeps and other cars overtaking each other as if there was no oncoming traffic or tomorrow… after what felt like an eternity, where we had also driven past this severe wildfire that our guide and driver said were normal (but turned out to be huge), we arrived at the jeep switching point. We all got out of the car, and the children (age 16, 14) and I were in a near crying state…. It just felt so unsafe…. We had Jeeps now overtaking each other in a mad race up… hundreds of jeeps going up… I talked to my husband, we looked at the kids, we thought of what is really important… and decided to call it off… also because Rizky said the drive with the jeep would be even bumpier and scarier… Our guide and driver were very surprised, but as my husband was speaking to them, as I was calming the children (and myself) down, I am not 100% sure of their reaction; and to be honest I also did not care…. I did hear them ask several times if we could still give them a good review on TripAdvisor… We asked them to wait one hour until most jeeps had gone up to then start the descent… if I thought this meant our death trap trip was over, I could not have been more wrong… How it works is that we would have transferred to the jeep with another driver, and our driver would have slept in his car for about 6 hours until we would have returned. The man was not necessarily fit to drive back for 3 hours immediately. He was struggling to stay awake, almost drove into road works… When we were turning onto the motorway he was actively nodding of. And Rizky was asleep next to him. So, I told Rizky to put the airco on, and to stay awake to actively keep our driver awake… I could not communicate with the man as he did not speak English… All in all, after lots more scary moments, we got back at the house at 6 am. I read all the TripAdvisor reviews of this trip again (137 5star reviews) and only 2 said “the ride was a bit bumpy”… This trip was not for us.. we read that a total of 3000 jeeps go up the mountain for sunrise on an average night in the weekend… and when googling we also read that in about 15-20 cases per year it goes severely wrong.. we will come back to Bromo at some point but it’s quite important to be alive to see it!

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ We had an amazing experience with Landscape Bromo! They made our Bromo volcano trip completely stress-free and very easy to organize from start to finish. Everything was perfectly arranged, the communication was excellent, and the team was always friendly and helpful. They also organized our transfer all the way to the ferry to Bali, which made our journey incredibly smooth and convenient. A special thanks to our driver, Adi. He is an absolute legend! Always friendly, punctual, helpful, and a great driver. He made the long journey enjoyable and took great care of us throughout the trip. We truly appreciated their professionalism and attention to detail. We would definitely recommend them to anyone visiting Bromo. Thank you so much for everything!

We had a wonderful time with our excellent guide Alhan. Leaving at midnight and going through a very windy and bumpy road was worth the view we had at the top. Being so close to an active crater was a unique experience. Thanks Alhan for taking care of us so well!

It was a perfectly organized, amazing trip from the first moment till the last. Mount Bromo is magnificent in the sunrise, from the rim, anytime, anywhere!! We have to emphasize our guide Alfa who was showing us the really best hidden spot for “no tourists “ pictures!!! Thanks again for that! Spuri was a super safe and fast driver! 5 big stars for the guys too!!
