ハルシュタット塩鉱山は世界でも珍しいもので、見逃せません。7000年にわたる塩の採掘の歴史を持つ「世界最古の塩鉱山」です。 ザルツベルク鋼索鉄道では、オーバーハルシュタット渓谷やスカイウォークまで快適に山を登ることができます。 「ハルシュタットの頂上」から10分ほど歩くと、鉱山列車がキラキラと輝く岩壁に沿って山へと向かいます。 滑り台（64m！）でレベルを変えます。 もちろん階段も使えますが、この大きな楽しみのチャンスを見逃せません。 塩坑内の温度はアプリになりますのでご注意ください。8～10℃
ザルツカンマーグートのまさに中心であり、ユネスコの文化遺産です。 この地域は、委員会によって「科学的輸入に加えられた並外れた美しさの自然」と評されている。 ここでは、遺跡の美しさに加えて、考古学の発掘、世界最古の塩鉱山からの発見、精巧な絵画による世界最大の頭蓋骨コレクションなど、驚嘆すべきものを見ることができます。 センセーショナルな発見は、全体の時代と文化にその名前を与えさえした： 「ハルシュタット期」と「ハルシュタット文化」は、鉄器時代初期の学名である。

I paid about $161 for this trip plus an additional €49 for the salt mines (you have to bring cash to pay the guide for your ticket). To me, that was really overpriced for an 8-9hr day. I’ve done similar tours for about half the price. However, it’s quick drives, beautiful views, and a great guide. His name was “Fritz” I believe and he was great. Very knowledgeable and passionate about Austria. I 100% recommend the salt mines! The tour was amazing! They just reopened after doing a bunch of renovations on the funicular and it’s awesome! The tour itself if so high tech and totally worth the €49. The whole salt mines experience was about 1.5 hours. Bring a jacket! It’s about 50 degrees in the salt mines. They do give you clothes to wear over, but still, bring warm clothing. You still have time to enjoy the town of Hallstatt. Keep in mind, the town will be packed with tourists. It’s a tiny but beautiful town.

With regards to the price: We think that our tours are quite economical considering that the tours are van tours up to 8 people only + professional chauffeur guide and in the usual range in comparable countries. The price is EUR 139,00/adult (compared to i.e. coach tours to Hallstatt at even only 6h at EUR 60,00 - we do not provide these tours). The mix of USD (for the tour) and EUR (for the funicular+ tour in the mines) might have caused confusion. It is EUR 139,00/EUR 49,00. Tour price as well as the fees for the mines we give in the general information and once more again with the booking confirmation also with the remark how recommendable it is to having cash for Hallstatt in general as many places to not accept credit cards. Shiva was our "guide" on the tour. He drove us from Salzburg to Hallstatt, where he dropped each of the small groups at their respective tours. Shiva was absolutely INCREDIBLE. The entire 1.5 hr drive, he had interesting facts about everything we passed, including towns, monuments, road signs, traffic laws, etc. He was incredibly friendly and helpful with everyone's questions, and made sure we each had everything we needed for our tours and what to expect. Could not have asked for a better experience, this is a must book with Shiva.

My husband and I had an amazing experience at Hallstatt, with our great guide Shiva. He was very knowledgeable, funny and talented photographer! He took so many wonderful and unforgettable pictures for us. Hallstatt was very beautiful and most picturesque town. We also enjoyed the Salt Mines tour a lot and loved the slides and train. We loved that it was a very small group. Bring cash as most of the shops only accept cash. Highly recommended!

What a beautiful day in Hallstatt with Fritz as our tour guide. Didn’t end up doing the salt mines as they were just reopening and it was a bit chaotic up there. Instead went up the gondola to five fingers viewing point. A bit of a hike to get to the spot. Took my son and I who are not in the best of shape 30-40 mins of up and downhill climb to make it to the viewing platform and then back so didn’t have much time for anything else there. But it was worth it as the views were breathtaking. Hallstatt village itself was gorgeous and such a unique and quaint little village. Even though it was a Sunday it was still packed with tourists and hard to find a spot at the popular restaurants. Souvenir shops were very expensive. And food drinks at Hallstatt also very expensive. I bought my son a slushie and it was $7 euros! We had 2.5 hrs in Hallstatt and that seemed enough. We were able to walk up to the bone church/cemetery with the skulls, so that was something unique to see. Our tour guide Fritz was informative and well organized. A fun morning inside the salt mine, if even to tick off the experience from your bucket list. Guide was informative. Highlight was of course the ride down the old wooden slide. Be aware…lots of steps to get there. Give it a miss if you have any mobility issues.
