Our favorite tour in New Zealand was Hobbiton! We chose a private tour for the logistics and attention to detail and were very pleased with this decision! Hobbiton itself is truly amazing and far exceeded our expectations of a tourist destination. It is wonderfully crafted with focused attention on expressing the fantasy world of Middle Earth. Our guide(s) were very knowledgeable and truly enhanced and already wonderful experience.
My daughter and I got picked up from our hotel and the driver drove to Hobbiton. He was prompt and friendly and told us about the areas as we passed through. We were glad we didn’t have to drive. The buffet dinner was extra special and our tour guides in Hobbiton were great.
Excellent tour to Hobbiton and back to our hotel. We’re from California, celebrating our 50th wedding anniversary in New Zealand. Simon, our private tour guide was great! Knowledgeable, friendly and interesting…he made the drive more relaxing and comfortable. Highly recommend this service .😎

Our driver Raymond was prompt in picking us up, had waters for us along the ride, and was a wealth in of information about all things New Zealand. We arrived to Hobbiton with plenty of time to look at the souvenir shop, grab a coffee and ice cream cone, and then head out on the tour of the Shire. My husband tweaked his hip as we were on our way to this trip and it has caused some mobility issues for him. I wrote to A&B and they were able to organize a golf cart to take us around in and it saved the day for us. The feast at Hobbiton, holy Moses!! It was absolutely terrific, and beautiful. I didn’t exactly have high hopes and didn’t really know what to expect, but it’s a very Hobbit worthy feast for sure. Was so pleasantly surprised by that. In all, it was a magical evening, and A&B and Raymond really helped make everything easy peasy on our end. So grateful for this special tour.

Touring Hobbiton was so much fun! Seeing it after dark was enchanting. The people from all over the world were like friends when we got to the banquet. Family type seating. Food was very good. Everyone was like a good friend at the table. We laughed together and had wonderful food. Worth the price!
A memorable day for all involved was absolutely brilliant. The driver was on time and was very welcoming, professional and was very knowledgeable about the surrounding area. Would recommend visiting hobbiton to anyone and to book with auckland & beyond tours.
