I had a wonderful experience! It was better than I had imagined. The trip was phenomenal… and ending it with the LOTR movie was perfect. Highly recommend.

We went with cheeky kiwi tours who proved to be excellent. We were on a short time frame but able to do this while our cruise ship was in port. Driver picked us up on time and dropped us off close to port at. 6.45pm plenty of time to make our boarding time. The whole bus ride in was entertaining as the driver pointed out lots of different places. At Hobbiton you are transported by the big green bus to the actual movie set. The set is in the middle of a working farm and we saw lots of lambs and sheep. The tour is a walking tour around all the houses. They have built a whole house do you can really explore and experience how it feels from the inside. We ended the tour at the inn where we had a cider. Would recommend this for all ages it was great fun even if you have never seen any of the movies. We had a little rain but umbrellas were provided.

Cheeky Mike is great! Ensured we had a wonderful time and took plenty of photos for us. Very knowledgeable and made it fun and comfortable and was very accommodating!

We had the best time, it’s my partners first time out of Australia and he said he loved every minute of it ☺️ Definitely be back again with family and friends. Cheeky Micheal was the man, he knew everything about Maori culture which I love hearing about. Best part about the tour was the ice cream 👀😂 just kidding But overall was a amazing experience and what only makes it even better is when you have a amazing tour guide who knows his stuff and is also Cheeky 😂 Thank yous for having us ☺️

Our Hobbiton tour today was absolutely wonderful. Our Cheeky Kiwi guide, Mike, made the entire experience smooth, welcoming, and memorable. He was incredibly kind and very mindful about connecting with people from different nationalities, ensuring everyone felt included and informed. Mike gave clear instructions, shared helpful safety guidelines, and offered water throughout the day. He was knowledgeable, engaging, and made the journey feel relaxed and enjoyable. He even stopped for ice cream on the way back to Auckland, which was such a thoughtful touch. At the end of the tour, he made sure we were safely dropped off at our hotel. Truly excellent service from start to finish. Highly recommend this tour and especially Mike.

Grant was a great tour guide! Very knowledgeable and provided fun facts and dad jokes on the drive to and from Hobbiton! He made sure we had plenty of water & even gave us a snack & made a stop for ice cream! We were even ahead of schedule & he was able to get us on an earlier tour & gave us tips on how to best enjoy the Hobbiton tour! Mahalo Grant for a good time!

It was a wonderful day and the great organization made it very relaxing for us. On the way our tour guide Alessandro shared a lot of stories about the landscape and the founding of Hobbiton in particular. It was very interesting and entertaining. The van was super comfortable and water and snacks were provided.
