これは、アヌラーダプラのマハメウナ庭園にある歴史的な神聖なボーの木 (Ficus religiosa) です。
ロヴァマハパヤは、スリランカの古代都市アヌラーダプラのルワンウェリセヤとスリ マハボディヤの間に位置する建物です。屋根が青銅のタイルで覆われていたため、「青銅の宮殿」または「ロハプラサダヤ」とも呼ばれます。
スワルナマリ マハ セヤ (直訳:「大トゥパ」) としても知られるルワンウェリ マハ セヤは、スリランカのアヌラーダプラにある仏塔 (遺物を収めた半球状の建造物) です。仏陀の遺骨の 2 クォートまたは 1 ドナが仏舎利塔に安置されており、仏陀の遺骨のコレクションとしては世界最大のものとなっています [1]。シンハラのドゥトゥゲムヌ王によって 19 世紀に建てられました。紀元前 140 年、チョーラ王エララ (エララン) が敗れた戦争の後、スリランカの王となった。
クッタム ポクナ (双子の池またはプール) は、スリランカにある保存状態の良い古い沐浴タンクまたは池です。
サマディ仏陀は、アヌラーダプラのマハメブナーワ公園にある有名な像です。彼の最初の悟りに関連した瞑想の姿勢です。この像は高さ 7 フィート 3 インチで、花崗岩の大理石で彫られています。

「イート・ポクナ」または「象の池」と呼ばれるこの巨大な人工の池は、アヌラーダプラのランカラマヤの近くにあります。長さ159メートル、直径52.7メートル、深さ9.5メートルの長方形の池で、貯水量は75,000立方メートルです。エス・ポクナはその規模から、文学的には「象の池」を意味します。これは、500 エーカー以上に広がる巨大なアバヤグリヤ僧院の風景の一部です。タンクは大きな石のブロックを壁に斜めに積み上げて作られています。南側、北側、東側に３段の階段が下ります。底部は未舗装です。

Incredible experience. The guide was the best, you can tell he likes his job and knows what he is talking about, he makes the experience incredible and different. Almost 6 hours of tour, breakfast and lunch were delicious, I would recommend it 100%

Surely the best possible experience for discovering the temples of Anuradhapura. Ajee brilliantly explained the history of Buddhism to us, making sure each time that the talk was accessible to everyone. A real moment of sharing, whether during the offerings or during the breakfast/lunch, both included in the tour. We had initially hesitated with a simple tuk-tuk tour, but it would never have equaled this superb adventure.

Wonderful tour of Anuradhapura with Ajee! We rented bicycles and toured the main temples and ruins of the city. Ajee had a lot of knowledge about the history of all the monuments and spoke about it with passion. He also gave us explanations about Buddhism, from its history to its philosophy. Throughout the tour, we were able to taste delicious Sri Lankan specialties. We started with a tea time around 11 a.m. where Ajee treated us to vegetable rotis, coconut and honey pancakes, as well as Sri Lankan tea, which really gave us energy for the rest of the visit. Then we had lunch at a typical restaurant offering fish freshly caught in the nearby lake as well as a delicious plate garnished with dhal and curry. I recommend this tour 100%! Thanks again!

Ajee was a fantastic guide who gave us such a great insight into not just Anuradhapura but Buddhism more broadly and its philosophy and practices, which explained many questions we had had from our time through Sri Lanka. He is an incredibly kind, generous and thoughtful man, and we would highly recommend his tour for everyone! The tour had a very relaxed pace which we definitely appreciated, with regular stops for food and drinks. Doing the tour by bike is definitely the best because it provides a great connection to the surroundings, and it's very peaceful. Can't recommend highly enough!

The bike tour with Ajee was really great! He knows a lot about the history of Buddhism, but also showed us other pieces of culture such as certain plants and what they did with them. Very interesting! He had made delicious things for us and were even spoiled with homemade roti at the end of the tour.

Ajee is a fantastic guide, knowledgeable, passionate about Buddhism and Sr Lanka and really bought the sites and the local way of life to life. We were contacted the night before to reconfirm and the meeting place was highlighted and easy to find. The tour with Ajee was amazing! You can choose your pace so we went at a very relaxed pace and ended up spending all day around the heritage site. He provided snacks, coffee, water and lunch which was all delicious. He is very passionate about Buddhism and gave us lots of information.
