スルタン アフメット モスク (トルコ語: Sultan Ahmet Camii) の正式名称でも知られるイスタンブールのブルー モスクは、トルコのイスタンブールにあるオスマン帝国時代の歴史的な帝国モスクです。機能しているモスクで、多くの観光客も訪れます。アフメト 1 世の治世中の 1609 年から 1616 年の間に建設されました。キュッリエには、アフメト 1 世の墓、マドラサ、ホスピスがあります。手描きの青いタイルがモスクの内壁を飾り、夜になると、モスクの 5 つのメイン ドーム、6 つのミナレット、8 つのサブ ドームがライトで囲まれ、モスクは青く染まります。

Sib is a very knowledgeable, friendly and interesting guide who really knows his subject matter and delivers information clearly. The tour extended beyond The Blue Mosque to encompass other sites of interest to visit later on if we wished. Afterwards Sib sent us links to useful information.
An absolutely wonderful tour! We booked the Blue mosque and Sultanahmet Sq tour last minute without knowing what to expect, but so glad we did. Sib was a gracious guide (we were the only guests on our tour) who seemed to know everyone at the various places we visited, and is an increadible resource of knowledge on the history of the Mosque and area (and included an impromptu visit to the stunning Sokollu Mehmet Pasha Mosque) as well as the stories behind the religious history (believe he has just completed a doctorate on the history of religion!). Two hours very well spent, and if you are interested in a deeper historical tour to really hear about the history of the Blue Mosque and surroundings as well as the religious culture, this is definetely the tour for you. Highly recommended!

Go after 5pm to avoid 2 hour queues. I went in October. Queues will be even longer in the summer. I spectacular mosque and is a must see on Istanbul and its free!!
