Yunus is a licensed, very knowledgeable guide who makes Istanbul's history easy to follow. He explains mosque etiquette and the stories behind the sights in a accessible manner, easy to follow. He's honest about tourist traps and tells you how things in Istanbul work. He provided a list of things to try, including baklava, döner, a hammam and a ferry ride. He's also friendly and patient, and he waited for me when I was late. Highly recommended! October 2026.

Yunus did a wonderful job explaining the history of the town and monuments. It was fantastic getting to visit the Blue mosque as well as other things around. I strongly recommend this if you don’t have a lot of time to spend in Istanbul and want a good overview.

We took this walking tour early in our trip, and it was exactly what we hoped for. Our guide was the highlight. His energy was infectious, and he was thoughtful and kind with everyone in the group. He also managed something rare: he was helpful the whole way through without ever turning it into a sales pitch. No pressure, no pushing, just a genuinely good guide. We learned a lot. The history was interesting and well explained, and everything we stopped to see felt carefully chosen. For the price, we saw an impressive amount of the Old Town, so the value is hard to beat. The tour ran about an hour longer than scheduled, but you're free to leave whenever you like, so it never felt like a burden. They were also incredibly sweet when they found out we were on our honeymoon and gifted us an evil eye. We'd happily recommend this to friends or anyone visiting Istanbul who wants a great introduction to the city at a fair price.

Great tour. Lots of history and laughs too. Guide was honest and authentic. Definitely recommend. Missed Grand bazaar as we were on the Tor on a Sunday so if this is on your list the make sure you go on the tour another day.
