I thought I knew Manchester reasonably well, but this tour gave me a completely different perspective on the city. It was fascinating to learn about Manchester's industrial past and, more importantly, the people who lived and worked here and helped shape the city we know today. Harry was fantastic. Really knowledgeable, passionate and engaging, with a great ability to tell the stories behind the places we visited rather than just giving you a list of dates and facts. There were so many interesting details and stories that I had never heard before, and the time genuinely flew by. I particularly enjoyed how the tour connected Manchester's industrial history with the wider social and cultural changes that happened here. The football connection was a nice part of the story too, but the tour is much more than that. I'd highly recommend this to anyone visiting Manchester, and even to people who already live here. There's a good chance you'll come away having learned something completely new about the city.

Great walking tour going through Manchester's working class history, moving from cotton mills and workers rights up to the formation of modern football teams :)

I highly recommend this walking tour around central Manchester! It lasts around 2 hours with a break in the middle. I learnt a lot about the history of Manchester and it was interesting to learn about locations I’ve passed every day but didn’t know the history of. Harry was a fantastic guide who was very knowledgeable throughout the tour

Very interesting insight into the history of the city & rise through the industrial revolution & cotton industry. I didn’t know that Marx & Engels met in Manchester. Excellent value. Recommend.

A most excellent time, the tour took us around the main sights of the city centre, with a pub stop half way through. I've lived in Manchester for 10 years and found a few sights and pieces of history I didn't know about on the tour, thanks Harry!

Great time and learnt alot about a city I thought I already knew well. Harrison combined lots of different types of revolution that happened in the city with its footballing history seamlessly and was knowledgeable and entertaining. A must do for visitors and locals alike
