オスロ散策ツアーの醍醐味

This was such a deeply disappointing experience with TripAdvisor/Viator. Our instructions were for us to show up at 2PM at the address. We showed up, and no one was there. We waited around for 35 minutes, tried all manner of contacting the tour guide, the company, and then finally Trip Advisor, and got nothing. We have been on food tours in Vietnam, Sri Lanka, Cairo, Istanbul, and Paris. To be in Norway, with my Norwegian family, and have this happen was terrible.

The tour guide didn't show go. I waited 30 minutes. Ended up taking taxi to Mathollen and found it was closed on Mondays, so not sure how the tour would be completed when one of the stops was closed.

We have been on many food tours all over the world and this one was not up to par. It was not because of the food, the food was great. Our issue was with our guide. We are used to having our guide be very social, intersting and interactive. We look forward to getting a history lesson of the city that we our in. We did not get this with our guide. While she was a nice person, we got very little of the history and culture of Oslo. The lovely family that was on the tour with us agreed with us. We hope that this guide will become more comfortable in her job and give future tourist a great experience.

Would like to have had more historical information along the way on the tour. A voice box would’ve been very helpful.. would like to know more about how it ties into Oslo specifically.

Our guide Haizea was amazing! We thoroughly enjoyed her commentary on food and the surrounding area. I have only given four out of five stars because I messaged the tour company a couple weeks prior to our tour to see if they could accommodate a vegetarian. They never acknowledged my messages or responded, and on the day of the tour the tour guide had no idea. Though no fault of her own, she still tried to accommodate, but one of the food stops just wasn't possible. I totally understand when food just can't be switched around, but the lack of acknowledgment, or even reading my message just left a little bit of a sour taste. I would encourage booking the tour, especially if you're up for trying anything!

Oslo food tour with Indi our guide was exceptional. Logistics of getting to the establishments and served was very well executed. Diversity of food and drink on the tour was great and Indi made the city come alive for us.

Excellent way to dive into Norwegian cuisine and culture. We had seafood, waffles and finished at a local brewery. Perfect setup for us as we enjoyed a few more beers and wandered back to our hotel. Great walking tour with good conversation.

This honestly was a pretty disappointing tour. We have taken food tours for years in several different locations and this was by far the worst one. I hate that especially since it was the first for our adult son that came along on this trip. Normally it’s not just food but also a bit of history or facts as you walk along. But even if not, once the food is served you get some background or facts about what you are eating. On this tour mainly the server from the restaurant would just name what you’re having in the dish and there wasn’t much elaboration from our guide. This was a pretty expensive tour as food tours go too. Sadly I wouldn’t recommend this one.

The tour did not start well as there were organizational issues. We arrived at the meeting point and the guide said only 4 people signed up but there were actually 13 people who signed up. The guide was unprepared for this and she had to consult with her employer to figure out what to do. This ended up delaying the start of the tour. Later, some of the restaurants we visited were not prepared for our larger group which then resulted in further delays. Otherwise, the tour was average. The guide could have provided better / more explanations but otherwise, the tour was average at best. Our other Viator food tours in other cities were superior.
