Magda was our guide and she was excellent. Each place we went was well organized and the food we tasted was a history lesson. The food on the tour was a variety from seafood and a tour through seafood market, to a chocolate bar with a cheese history to a cider sampling. We finished by riding the Fenicular up the mountain and sharing as special seafood lunch and a charcuterie plate. Magda explained how to get the best seat for the ride down.
Despite torrential rain the tour was very enjoyable. Janine was friendly and knowledgable . It was great to eat local produce and hear the stories behind Bergens food culture. Good to do early on in your stay as you get the lowdown on all the best places to eat.

Our tour was the first thing we did in Bergen and Rigmor could not have been a better ambassador for our welcome. She was incredibly knowledgeable and enthusiastic about our experiences. The tour began and ended with two great sit down meals. In between we had some nice bites, and the cider tasting was an unexpected treat in a lovely restaurant. Great variety. Highly recommended.
Rigmor was an extremely knowledgeable historian and host who lead us through the old streets of Bergen to very diverse tastings. The trip on the funicular lead to a tasting that was actually a full meal in a beautiful location. She answered all of our questions, and even directed us to our next stop. We highly recommend this tour and guide.
There was a terrific sampling of local food, and sharing of local culture. The funicular ride and view at the top was phenomenal, and the mini meal there was delicious! Caterina was a wonderful guide!

Rigmor was one of the BEST TOUR GUIDES we have had this entire trip. Had tours in Copenhagen, Berlin, Helsinki, Stockholm, Oslo & now Bergen. She was interesting, engaging, spontaneous, natural and very knowledgeable. Not only for all the facts but also the interpretation in a unique creative and story telling way.
