We did the Heart of the Forest trail with Rodiber this morning. He was really nice and knowledgeable, going at a pretty slow pace to explain the fauna and animals to us. We had a great time and would definitely recommend booking a tour with him!

My wife and I had long dreamed of visiting Monteverde Cloud Forest and Rodiber was the perfect guide to show us the park. He was prompt and professional with communication, even helping us resolve a mistake I made in booking our entrance tickets. During the tour, Rodiber showcased his deep knowledge of the environment and its inhabitants, while also leaving space for quiet observation and wonder. The scenery was predictably incredible, but what stood out most about the cloud forest was the soundscape. Rodiber cued us to sharpen all 5 of our senses and spot a wide variety of plants and animals, especially birds. Thank you, Rodiber, for helping us realize this dream.

Our guide, Rodiber, communicated with us about meeting up. During our walk he shared some history of Costa Rica and the reserve. He was able to listen to bird calls then find them in the trees. Was very knowledgeable on plants also. Saw so Much more than we would have on our own. The experience far exceeded our expectations.

I first met Rodiber during a visit to Costa Rica in 2023, when he led my boyfriend and me on a night tour of the Monteverde Wildlife Refuge. We had such a great time that I knew I wanted to book Rodiber again when I returned to Costa Rica with my (senior) father this year. This time, we booked him for a morning tour of the Monteverde Cloud Forest Preserve. Both times, Rodi was able to point out lots of wildlife and plant life that we would have never seen on our own. He has a scope so you can view hard-to-see animals up close, and he even helps you take pictures through it with your phone. He is incredibly friendly and knowledgeable, and we learned so much. If I make it back to Monteverde, I will happily book with Monteverde Expeditions again. This was a true highlight of our trip.

Well organised and enjoyable walk in the Monteverde Cloud Forest. Our guide, Jason R was friendly, knowledgeable, and excellent at spotting wildlife. I was lucky enough to see a quetzal, which was a highlight, and he helped me get great phone photos through his scope. We also saw tarantulas in their burrows and learned a lot about bird calls, plants, trees, and the local plants and trees that make up the ecosystem.

We were able to book this last minute and are so glad that we did. Our guide, Loandry, was very knowledgeable and we learned a lot. He got some amazing pictures and videos that we are still enjoying. The elusive quetzal…we saw it three separate times-what a treat! Many thanks. This was a highlight of our time in Monteverde.

José was a fun, knowledgeable, and passionate tour guide. I recommend going to the cloud forest with a guide because he had an eye for spotting wildlife. His telescope helped me take detailed pics of the animals, better than my binoculars. I learned a lot and have a deeper respect for the cloud forest thanks to Jose! Rodiber was also great at communication about the logistics of my tour.
