A great tour. Victor was not only very knowledgeable but very entertaining too. I would highly recommend this tour as a way of increasing understanding of the whys and wherefores of The Spanish Civil War and the connections to Madrid.

An extremely interesting free tour, where you learn a lot; Chema the guide is very nice, he explains everything with great care and detail. It is highly recommended if you like history and want to know more about a period like the Civil War, which is not studied much in Spain. It is a tour that should be mandatory in all schools in Madrid so that people would know much more about the horrors of the Civil War and the reality of what was experienced in this country.

I loved the tour with Víctor! He is very passionate about the Spanish civil war and he tells its story really well. I had a lot of fun and also learnt a lot. He has a lot of energy and really wants you to enjoy the tour, I recommend 100% and I would love to do a tour with him again! (Hola a los padres de Víctor!)
Had a great time with Chema, I’m learning how to speak Spanish so I felt a bit shy to talk to him too much but he spoke very clearly and I understood 90% of what he was saying. Highly recommended :)
This is an exceptional tour. The subject might deter you, but it shouldn't. It's very interesting and packed with information and our guide, Victor, made it all the above and more. He was knowledgable, entertaining and kept the suspense alive from start to finish.
