Olly was just so perfect! She is fun and has so many fun historical and cultural facts and stories she adds to a lovely tour with lots of food! This was amazing! We highly recommend it!

I really wanted to like this tour, but I didn't. If you are interested in trying localally sourced ingredients served in non-traditional dishes, this is for you.if you are interested in trying traditional dishes, this isn't it. We started with a small cup of coffee from a local shop and a discussion of the proper way to brew it. Next, a french bakery where we had two pieces of chocolate, one made with local honey and one made with an ingredient banned in the US. We also got a really good raspberry filled croissant. For me, personally, I would have preferred to have had sample of the honey and local preserves and butter on one of the many local soda breads. Next, a local whiskey, moonshine and vermouth along with local cheeses and meats. Okay. Next up, two pieces of sushi made eith smoked mackerel and turnip? Then it was tempura cauliflower and braised pork belly. Lastly, a negroni with two appetizers and a slice of apple cake. Sorry but I would have preferred real sushi made with a local catch, or better still, some of the world renowned shell fish, some of the yummy bacon or spicey beef or black pudding. The apple cake was tasty but it would have benefited from being warm and topped with something other than a butter cream. My overall impression was the missed an opportunity to showcase some truly awesome local ingredients and dishes.

Absolute must when in Galway! Sheena was knowledgeable and the food was varied and delicious!!

My wife and I had the pleasure of taking this tour on August 29. We had Sheena Dignam as our guide. Sheena’s not just a guide, she is the owner and creator of Galway Food Tours. Her background of culinary arts along with her wonderful personality the tour was great. Sheena accommodated our pescatarian requirements and every single stop we made was fantastic. The variety of samplings was over the top and at places we probably wouldn’t have stopped at. Sheena knew we were headed to Dublin in a few days and gave us a list of her favorite spots to check out. Of those that we made, they were all great as well. After spending two weeks in Ireland and Scotland, we can honestly say this was one of the highlights of our trip. Thanks, Sheena.

Summer gone. Guests gone. But the memories still linger. The memories of a wonderful Food Tour through the city of Galway. The tour was entertaining and funny with the best guide ever: Sarah. 
Ah, yes, there was food too… The best croissants we ever had at Truffles, really good coffee from The Little Lane, the tastiest seafood chowder you can imagine in Rúibín’s, delicious ice-cream from Murphy’s and not to forget the mussels and oysters in Tigh Neachtaín’s - legend. But a tour is nothing without a grand finale - of course involving Braon Poitín Mhicil and a select choice of cheese and charcuterie in McCambridges. I have to add that even if you are a local and know your way around Galway you definitely will explore places you’ve not visited before, enjoy delicious bites and have some craic with your guide (ask for Sarah).

Ashleigh was a wonderful guide. My wife and I attended with another couple and we could not have been more pleased. Ashleigh was incredibly personable. She gave us exciting Galway history and insight. We ate and drank wonderful local fare and walked all around town. At the end Ashleigh took her time to give us advice on where to shop. I could not think of a better way to experience Galway for the first time.

Enjoyed it tremendously. Guide was very knowledgeable and friendly. A fun experience. Good was exceptional.

Sarah was such a great guide! Super friendly! The food was exceptional! There was so many delicious things, but a few highlights were Stew, Fish Chowder & Beer & Wine samples. It truly was one of the Best Food Yours we have done. You need to come HUNGRY! Highly recommend.

Great experience and way to see the city! Michelle was our guide she was very knowledgeable and added much value. Would highly recommend this tour!! Not traditional Irish food but yummy just the same! Good break from fish & chips!

My husband and I went on the Galway Food Tour and it was fantastic! It was definitely a 10 out of 10 experience. We not only learned about Galway’s culinary scene, we also learned and saw a lot about Galway City. Making our tour especially great was our fabulous tour guide, Olly, who was extremely knowledgeable, personable, informative and professional.
