Clare was delightful. Extremely knowledgeable and clearly loves Galway and is very thorough sharing its history. Answered all our questions. Has a wonderful sense of humor. Would definitely recommend her to anyone looking for a walking tour.
Arthur was amazing! He met us at our hotel lobby and gave us a brief current history of Galway before starting our tour! He was born and raised here and had incredible personal stories that tied in with the community. Arthur was thoughtful, kind, and knowledgeable. He took his time with the tour and made sure all our questions were answered! We would recommend him to everyone!
Arthur's tour was a definite highlight of our time in Galway (and Ireland!) Arthur's love and passion for his city was showcased in everything he shared with us. A lifelong resident of Galway, his historical knowledge was exceptional (he was present with his family for JFK's visit to Galway in 1963!) and his storytelling was so special. We had an absolutely wonderful walking tour of Galway with Arthur McGuire as a family of four! What made the experience so special was how personal it felt. Arthur didn’t simply take us to the usual sights and recite facts—he brought Galway’s history to life through stories, fascinating details, and his own connection to the city. We learned so much about Galway’s history that we never would have discovered on our own. At times, it genuinely felt like we were walking around Arthur’s own neighborhood with a local friend who happened to know an incredible amount about the people, places, and stories that shaped the city. One of the highlights for our daughters was an unexpected side trip to a local bookstore. It was such a thoughtful addition to the tour, and they absolutely loved it. It was one of those little personal touches that made the experience feel less like a standard tour and more like Arthur was sharing his Galway with us.
